Mr. Andre Giles McBride

Our revered Andre Giles McBride was born January 29, 1961 in Grenada, MS to the union of Mr. Stonewall Ingram and Ms. Mary Alice (McBride) Hammond. At a young age, he relocated to Saginaw, MI with his mother. It was through her that he developed his love of music. In May of 1982, Andre met and fell in love with Melynda Deeg. They had his six beautiful children: Andreah, Nathaniel, Ashlee, Matthew, Andre and DeAntre. They shared many years of happiness together and always maintained a special bond. In April of 1995, Andre walked into the Seven-Eleven on Garfield in Bay City, MI and smiled at a new cashier. Her name was Mary. Charismatically he said, "Hello. Welcome to the neighborhood. My name is Andre." He was always quite the charmer. Approximately one year later, his "Peaches" Shelby was born. Andre accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. He was always on a quest to further his relationship with God. He was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, Bay City, MI. Suddenly, on Monday, April 24, 2017, Andre Giles McBride made his transition to be with the Lord. Now he will sing with the angels in God's divine choir. Andre leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted companion for over 20 years, Mary Reinhardt, his children Andreah McBride, Nathaniel McBride, Ashlee McBride, Matthew McBride, DeAntre Deeg, and Shelby McBride; his step-children Allen and Katie Reinhardt; grandchildren, KelViannah, KeMauri and KeAura Smith, DeCameron and DeQuentin Nowell, Anthony McBride, JaRon Murchison and Romello McBride, two sisters, Valorie Green and Deniece McBride (Dennis Granger), one brother, Jeffrey Hammond (Hattie Shepard); sister-in-law, Sharalee Hammond; aunts, Minnie Armstrong, Linda Jackson, Virginia (Leslie) Garrett, and Eleanor Johnson; uncles, John (Susie) Wallace and Charles Douglas; nieces, LaShanna (Sterling) Culpepper, Kristin (Antione) Johnson, JaLynn Jones (Xavier Hopkins), TaRaea Green-Sangster, Dr. Rosalyn (Brennan) Miller, Kela (Eric) McClure; nephews, Kwammi (Tanisha) Brooks, Fredrick Dukes, Frederick Hammond, Michael (Heather) Nischke, and Fenell (Amanda) Jones; special cousins, Ricky and Armond Johnson; god-brothers, Jerry and Michael Boyd, Billy Johnson, Ronnie Turner, and Antwan Mims. And his closest families The Boyd and Southward family. Andre is preceded in death by his parents Stonewall Ingram and Mary A Hammond; step-father, Alphonso "Red" Weathers; son, Andre G. McBride II; grandsons Kelvin V Smith II, Nathaniel and Matthew McBride; brother, Fredrick “Punch” Hammond; grandmother, Stella M Douglas and god-mother, Jeanette Boyd. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Edward Jones will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery 3210 South Washington Avenue. Friends may call at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
