Mrs. Bobbie Jean Williams

A Time to be Born" (Ecclesiastes 3:2) On October 27, 1931, in Haysville, Louisiana, the world was graced with the presence of Mother Bobbie J. Williams. Born to Urie Hampton and Ruby Hampton Martin, they both preceded her in death. She was the cherished third child of seven from their union. "A Time to Live" (Genesis 2:24) In the sacred bond of Holy Matrimony on February 5, 1950, Mother Bobbie united with Clyde Morgan, he preceded her in death. Together, they nurtured a loving family, blessed with five children: Winfred Morgan, Sr., Eloise Carter, Clyde Morgan, Jr., Debra (Michael) Brown, and Ronald Morgan. Their legacy flourished through seven grandchildren: Chandra Morgan, Winfred Morgan Jr., Corey (Tiombe) Morgan, Sr., Darrell (Maggie) Carter, Angienell Davenport, Raushanah Davenport and Terrance Carter; 15 great-grandchildren, Arianna, Autumn, Tiesha, Corey Jr., Raushanah II, LaVelle, Liam, Angienell II, Joy, Joseph, Jacob, Ali, Vincent, Jason, Bella, and her beloved pet, Brownie. Bobbie's unwavering devotion to her family illuminated every facet of her life until the Lord called her home. Later in life Bobbie met Robert Williams and they wed, until his passing. Journey of Faith Mother Bobbie's journey of faith led her to Greater All Nation Prayer Tower C.O.G.I.C in Saginaw, MI, under the guidance of the late Supt. Louis Bishop. She served diligently as an Usher and later became the Local President of the Usher Board, ensuring every detail was attended to with care. If you were chewing gum, you would see her coming to you with tissue in her hand. Over time, she was honored as one of the Mothers of the Church. In 2023, she found a new spiritual home at Good Shepherd Church under the leadership of Pastor Tony Monroe. Her unwavering faith echoed in her favorite phrase, "Thank the Lord for another day.” “Using Gifts for Others” (Colossians 3:23) Mother Bobbie's compassion extended beyond her family and church community. She dedicated herself to caring for others as a caregiver for Saginaw County Commission on Aging and Guardianship Services. Her industrious spirit shone through her work at the Chicken Coop and Saginaw Linen Services, where she retired after years of dedicated service. Even in retirement, she remained committed, spending ten months of the year caring for her beloved mother. A Time for Fellowship Bobbie cherished the moments spent with her Bonus Sisters, gathering for joyous weekends filled with laughter and delicious meals. The families would meet up at Aunt Clair and Uncle Glenn (both deceased) and the other Toatley Sisters and family having a wonderful time. Cooking was an expression of love, whether crafting Hot Tamales with Aunt Phillis Anderson (deceased) or indulging in BBQ Ribs. Her green thumb flourished in her garden, where she found comfort among her flowers, a passion she shared with her neighbors and church community. Fishing trips up north with her grandchildren were cherished weekends, accompanied by laughter and outdoor adventures. Bobbie's friendship with Sister Shepard was a testament to their shared love for the Lord and the simple joy of savoring an ice cream treat. “Family Bonds” (Philippians 2:3) Mother Bobbie leaves behind a rich tapestry of family bonds, preceded in death by her beloved siblings and cherished sisters-in-law, Geneva (Oscar) Cowan, Alvin Hampton, Sylvia Brown, Verna Hadley, Richard Hampton, Debra (Marion) Hornocker; sisters-in-law, Elois (Curtis) Bell and Gertrude Thomas; daughter-in law, Jocelyn Jackson; nephews and niece, Oscar Cowan Jr., Darryl Brown and Y’Dana Shanklin, She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of loved ones whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness. In the tapestry of life, Mother Bobbie J. Williams' legacy is woven with threads of love, faith, and service. Though she may have bid farewell to this earthly realm, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. With love and cherished memories, she will truly be missed by her son, Sonny (Minnie) Jackson and Clarence; grandson, Kaleb Brown; granddaughters; Kiara Atkins, Mikala Brown; godson, Nehemah Turner; nieces and nephews., Joyce Schuler, LeRay Brown, Sheilah (SD) Ricks, Kerry Brown, Sherryl (William) Carnes, Sr., Anthony (Barbara) Gwinn, Clydette Booker, Manuel Guinn, Richelle Hampton and Kari Johnson and all the great nieces and nephews. Extended family, Shelia Danley, Keila Brown, Michael Brown; niece, Sharry Hammond, and a host of others. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Good Shepherd C.O.G.I.C., 3020 Perkins St., Saginaw, MI 48601, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Tony Monroe will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Fri.
