Mrs. Brenda Lee Moore

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and niece, Brenda Lee Moore “Bren” was called home by the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2023 following a brief illness at the age of 60 years. Brenda was born January 8, 1963 in Dorena, Missouri to Ernest and Dorothy Menzie and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She became a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. Brenda was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church under the current leadership of Paster Cedric T. Nickson. She was a prior member of Greater Freewill Missionary Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mass Choir under the leadership of the late Pastor James E. Speed. Brenda loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved sports, doing puzzles, watching movies and going to the movie theaters with her cousin Jean. She loved decorating inside and outside of her home. She really loved shopping; she caught all of the sales. Brenda served in the United States Army from 1981 until her Honorable Discharge in 1991. Brenda received an Associate’s Degree from Delta College and was employed by AT&T for several years. On April 27, 1991 in Fort Riley, Kansas, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Reginald Dewayne Moore. This union was blessed with two beautiful children, Reginald, Jr. and Jasmine Moore. Brenda leaves to cherish her memory, son, Reginald (Keera J. Lynn) Moore, Jr.; daughter, Jasmine Moore; four grandchildren, A’liyah Moore, Romeo Valentino Moore, A’miyah Haley and Jordan Haley, all of Saginaw, three sisters, Anna (Bryan) Patton, Ruby Menzie, both of Saginaw, MI and Latonyal Menzie, Columbus, GA; two brothers, Ernest Menzie of Phenix City, AL and Darrick (Tashana) Menzie of Richmond Hill, GA; two sisters-in-law, Raquel Moore, Columbus, GA and Rhonda (Jefferson) Johnson, Columbus, GA; four brothers-in-law, Eugene Seldon, Rupert Moore, Ronnie (Vickie) Moore, Columbus, GA and Roderick (Bernadine) Moore, Mesquite, TX; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; special friends include, Vincent Barnes, Robins Cozart, Tammy Haynes, Harold Butler, Victor Dennis, James Porter, Evee Cooper, Yvonne Corley, Cheryl Blacksher and other special friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald D. Moore (Moe); father, Ernest J. Menzie; mother, Dorothy Mae Menzie; one sister, Linda Menzie; granddaughter, Jaelyn Haley; father and mother-in-law, Norman and Mabelle Moore; brothers-in-law, Carl Seldon and Romeo Moore; grandparents and a host of other relatives. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Cedric T. Nickson and the United Missionary Baptist Church family, Dr. Binu Malhotra at Covenant Cancer Care Center, Covenant Harrison Campus 6th floor unit, Veterans Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit 2nd floor , Bishop Hurley J. Coleman, Jr., World Outreach Campus Church Family and Alonzo Betts and the Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home Staff. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Cedric Nickson will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington St, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 a.m.
