Mr. Ivory Hatfield

Mr. Ivory Hatfield was born March 8, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of William and Ruby Hatfield. He passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the age of 67 years. Ivory was a graduate of Buena Vista High School” Class of 1975”. He served in the U.S. Army as a Small Arms Repair/Tank Turrent Repair Specialist. He enjoyed cooking grilling, playing dominoes, movies, listening to old school music, especially the “Temptations’ and talking mess. He really enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Bernadette Hatfield; seven children, Ebony, Jade (Rodrick) Hatfield-Smith, Andrea, Megan Hatfield, Dajanae Fisher, Jeremy and Ivory Hatfield, Jr.; 16 grandchildren, Correon, Chanze, IvoriAnna, Zyir, Marquise, Cashton James, Cortez, Coryon, I’aisha, MI`King, A’Marion, Madisonn Hatfield, Jeremy Kalub, Kayden Fisher, Camille Rosas and Olivia Teneyque; three sisters, Carolyn Jackson, Billie (Ricky) Humphries and Debra Lane; brother, Henry Hatfield; aunt, Shirley Akins; nieces, JoAnn Bowman, Cassandra McDaniel, Linda (Herman) Perkins, Marilyn (Lawrence) Jones, LaToyia (Ann) Roberson, LaTonya, Andrea Hatfield, Wanda (Maurice) Brown, Danielle Lane, Devanise (Johnnie) Jackson, Charlene Dixon, Marie Morgan, Aretha and Desiree Jackson; nephews, Bill and Thomas Morgan, Reggie Terry and Dewon Hatfield; sisters-in-law, Minnie Turner, Mary Barnes and Ethel Wilson; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Reitus Wilson, Paula Simpson and nieces, Pearl, Samone, Devanise and Desiree. Mr. Ivory Hatfield was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruby Hatfield; sisters, Josephine Holloway and Pearlie Mae Isom; brothers, Joseph Morgan and Eddie Roberts; nieces and nephews, Demaris Hatfield and Chasity Jackson, Jerry and “Lil Jerry” Morgan; sister-in-law, Clara Morgan and special cousins, Bryan Daniel and Lucius “Big Lou” Wafer. The family would like to express special thanks to Heroes Corner, the VA of Grand Rapids and the Center for the Blind, Butterworth Hospital staff and to all the friends and family for their generosity in our time of need. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Apostle Ron Frierson will officiate with interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 N. Belford Rd., Holly, MI 48442. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
