Ms. Jacqueline Denise Whitson

Ms. Jacqueline Denise Whitson started her journey with the Lord on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the age of 50 years. She was born February 18, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of General “Mack” and Yvonne (Smith) Whitson. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School “Class of 1985”. Ms. Jacqueline resided in Decatur, GA after moving from Saginaw, MI. She accepted Christ at an early age. Jacqueline was the life of the party when around her family and had an infectious spirit to anyone who came in contact with her. She would tell you her life story after she had your confidence and she would share your story with her family and friends. Jacqueline leaves to treasure her memory: Father General “Mack” Whitson of Franklin, TN; two sons, Dacquan (Capateron) of Conyers, GA and Ja’Quan’tae Whitson, Saginaw MI; three daughters, Dacquandra Wheeler of Atlanta, GA, Akia and Miracle Whitson of Saginaw, MI; four grandchildren, Dacquan, Davaris, Da’Nieya Whitson, all of Conyers, GA and Detarvis Young of Saginaw, MI; two brothers, Steve (Margret) Whitson, Sr. of Saginaw, MI and Devaundre (Jasmine) Whitson of TN; one sister, LaTisha (Loyd) Demery of Saginaw, MI; nieces & nephews, Steve Jr. and Paris Whitson, both of Stone Mountain, GA, NaKita, A’Marrie, NaStasha & Alexis Whitson and Amari; great niece, Amaya Davis; three uncles, Alton (Dorothea) Smith of Lawrenceville, GA, Marlon (Yolanda) Smith of Conyers, GA and Franklin Whitson; two aunts, Brenda Helton of Saginaw, MI and J. Anitra Smith-Williams of Stockbridge, GA; a loving and supportive cousin, Chantel (Gary) Oliver; extended family and friends including special friends, Anita Arthur-Chester, Cathy Wilson, Erica Kinnard and Brenda Whittington. Ms. Whitson was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Whitson; grandmother, Ossie May Smith; grandfather, Johnnie C. Smith; aunt, Gonza May Adams; uncle, Bobby D. Smith; and cousin, Roosevelt (Twan) Helton. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church, 2403 East Remington Street. Pastor Murry Culberson, Host Pastor. Pastor Jimmie Harrison will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI.
