Mrs. Josie Moore

Mrs. Josie (Hunt) Moore passed away, Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the age of 81 years. She was born May 5, 1935 in Greenville, Mississippi the daughter of Fannie Ross and Amos Hunt. She was a long time member of the Salvation Army Church in Flint, Michigan and actively involved with many church activities and associated with Holy Communion Gospel Center of Saginaw, Michigan. Josie loved children and was a caregiver to many with an open door to those in need. Mrs. Josie Moor leaves to cherish her memory; one sister, Gloria (Hunt) King; sister-in-law, Gail Palmer, both of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren, Delano (Rolanda) Moore of Flint, MI, Pamdora McCloud-Laird of Flushing, MI, Aaron McCloud, Masika Reed-Stubbs and Danielle Hoye of Florida; nieces and nephews, Marshall (Beverly) Litfield, Yolanda Litfield, Shellena Bentley, Glenda Love, Gabriella Baldwin, Larry Long, Lance Norris, Stanley Johnson, Leroy Johnson, Patricia Johnson, Carvella Johnson, Pierre Johnson, Adriana Johnson, Darwin Johnson, Eric Johnson and Shaun Johnson, Elaine Hunt, Joseph Hunt, Jr., Cloveese Hossmann (King) and Assegid Mersha; six great-grandchildren, Kevin Righter, Jr., Keith Righter, Kimberly Stewart of Flushing, MI, Anquience Moore of Indiana, Trendon and Delano Moore, Jr. of Flint, MI; one great-great-grandson, DeMarion Langston of Indiana; a host of many great -nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Josie had a special place in her heart for Blair Bell of Texas and Keith Bell of Mt Morris, MI, both for whom she was a long time caregiver. Mrs. Moore was preceded by husband, Hiram Moore; son, Aaron Lloyd McCloud; granddaughter, Toya Jones, her twin brother, Joseph Hunt, Sr., George Litfield, Walter (Helen) Litfield and Leroy (Edna) Johnson. Family hour 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Holy Communion Gospel Center, 1245 E. Genesee, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Charlene Washington will officiate. Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue on Tuesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
