Ms. Lisa Long

Ms. Lisa Helen Long was born April 8, 1964 in Saginaw, Michigan to James Jesse Jackson and Mary Nell Long. She passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the age of 59 years. Lisa enjoyed watching lifetime and scratching off her cash words she loved listening to pandora music. She loved her kids and family so much that she would open her door to her family who needed her the most, would give them the clothes off her back. She enjoyed seeing her grandchildren every day. Lisa was the person everybody ran to when they needed help with anything. Ms. Long leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Classie Shaina and Allysiah Long; sons, Jerry Long and Demairko and Tracy Scarbrough (Amanda); grandchildren, Danail, Malachi, Marcella, Tanijah, Rayvarion, Tracy III, Harmony, Braylen, Demarko, Jr., Trayvon, Damyla, Amya and Aydrian; great-grandchild, Armanii and King; three sisters, Shirley, Gwendolyn and Classie; two uncles, Narval and Warren; eight nieces, Robin, Mary, China, Je’Maryah, KahLisa, Aliza, D’Zhyre and Natashia; 12 nephews, Jerry, Davontae, Nathaniel, Montrell, Trayvon, Cornell, Jemario, Carter, De’Mario, Christian, Kool-aide and Bartholomew; brother-in-law, Marcellus; many other relatives and friends including special friends, William Pearson, Al Pipkins, Dealtoe, Robert, Chuck, Laurea Pruitt, William, Jr. and Big Tracy. Ms. Lisa Long was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Nell Long and James Jesse Jackson; sister, Lee Long; brother, Lloyd Powell; grandparents, Arrie and Jerry Long; aunts, Lorraine, Mary L., Ethel, Carline Long and Leann Donald, Barbara Pipkins; cousins, Suzie, Eugene Long, Lela and Matthew Long, Fatima and Wardine; step-mother, Damona Jackson; niece, Cassie; uncles, Wenfred, Cecil, Willie, Wilfred and Roscoe Long. The family would like to express special thanks to Arleen, April, Ashley Long, hospice nurse, Ashely and the Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home staff. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Jerry Myles will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI. Visitation 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
