Mrs. Sherry Gibbs-Buchanan

Sherry Gibbs-Buchanan was born on September 23, 1965 in Rome, Georgia the daughter of Clader Bland and Brenda Gibbs. She passed away suddenly on April 13, 2023 at the age of 57 years. Sherry Gibbs Buchanan resided in Saginaw, Michigan, was a graduate of Saginaw High School and attended Coleman Temple C.O.G.I.C. where she was baptized. She worked at General Motors Plant #6 of Saginaw until she retired in 2007. Mrs. Gibbs-Buchanan was very loving and giving to everyone that she encountered in this thing we call life. She was really a true definition of an angel. She enjoyed being around her family and making sure that her presence was known on earth. Mrs. Gibbs-Buchanan was the most generous person in human form with such a big heart, that had no limits. She loved to push others to their potential, and see them accomplish their goals. She was such a loving vault who would hold your most sacred secrets. Sherry was one of the most important persons in many lives. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Cory Buchanan; three children, two sons, Cetric (Tiffany) Gibbs and Detric Buchanan; one daughter, Corie Buchanan; grandchildren, Cetriauana Gibbs, Nevaeh Ortiz, Cetric Gibbs, Jr., Toviis Lane, Amir Gibbs, Kemaureon Woods, Riley Sherman, Londyn Gibbs “Chocolate Baby”,Dakota Buchanan; three sisters, Toledo Gibbs, Shanail Brown and Shawanna Green; brother, Walter Gibbs; aunt, Patricia Brown and Christian Jones; uncle, Isaac Gibbs; nephews, Donte Gibbs, Demarcus Green and Datarius Gibbs; great-great-nephew, Katier Joe; nieces, Nikeyttia Jones, Shemicka Gibbs, Monajae Joe, and Waltriel Gibbs; ; great-niece, Monajae Joe; great-nieces, Destini and Kimora Gibbs; many other relatives and friends including special friend, Darlene Simpson. Mrs. Gibbs-Buchanan was preceded in death by her parents, mother, Brenda Gibbs and Ida Tyler; father Clader Bland; grandparents, Rosie Gibbs, Hazel Dunaway, Clemmie Jernigan; cousins, Wanda Brown, Paulette Brown; aunt, Emma Brown; uncle, Kenneth Jernigan. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Monday, April 24, 2023, Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Pastor Taurus Simpson will officiate. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 Washington Avenue.
