Ms. Viola Mae "Vicky" Johnson

Ms. Viola “Vicky” Mae Johnson of Saginaw, Michigan gained her wings on April 18, 2023. She was born on February 1, 1963 to Jack Johnson and Bennetta Murphy Johnson. Vicky was raised in Saginaw, MI and lived there most of her life. In her early years, she moved to California with her daughter Tanisha seeking a new life outside of Michigan. She traveled many places and settled down in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for many years before finally returning to Saginaw. She had class, style and a loving personality and was able to make many friends everywhere she went. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Viola loved to press her luck at the casinos and got lucky the majority of the time. Her favorite color was purple, and her favorite foods were grapes, cherries and, Doritos Locos Tacos from Taco Bell. One of her many talents was growing plants. She had a super green thumb and a house full of beautiful plants that she sang and talked to. She will be dearly missed and remain forever loved by many. “Vicky” a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is survived by her longtime companion, Alexander Alexander; six daughters, Tanisha, Shavetta, De-Nancell, Kierra, Rahnesha and Alexis Alexander; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Millie, Karisma and Zyhon. She also leaves behind, two brothers, Howard and Ernest Johnson; two sisters, Benita Lynn Anderson and Georgetta (Leroy) Woodhouse; like a sister, Wardell Amos; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends of all walks of life. Ms. Viola Mae Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Bennetta Johnson; three sisters, Alvia Johnson, Rose Lee and Katherine Baskin; two brothers, Johnnie Hill and Willie Johnson; two nieces, Anglica Lee and Shavonda Johnson; one nephew, John Lee and many other cousins. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Eugene Burton will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington , Saginaw, MI 48601.
