Mr. Adolph Patterson, Jr.

Adolph lived in Saginaw, Michigan where he was a member of Victorious Believers Ministries. Adolph graduated from Saginaw High School. He retired from Delphi after working there for 30 years. He was married to Nita Patterson for 21 years. One of Adolph’s greatest passions was sports, a love he carried with him from his childhood through his adult life. Whether it was going fishing with friends or sitting in front of the TV cheering on his favorite teams or engaging in lively discussions. His enthusiasm for sports was infectious, bringing joy to many. Adolph will be remembered for his barbecues where he showed bondless love and produced his contagious laughter. Throughout Adolph’s life he formed many friendships with people whom he shared countless memorable moments and laughter. He shared a deep bond with several people who treasured his warmth and charisma. Among his closest companions were Brian Bailey, Micah Biggins, Robert ElAmin, Sandy Hall, Sheldon Matthews, Greg Patterson, Maurice Patterson, Rudy Patterson, Tony Price and Carol Walker. Adolph had plenty of grandchildren all of which he had compassion, empathy and love for; his son, DeMont blessed him with two grandsons and his daughter Courtney blessed him with two grandsons. Along with those, his union with Nita has also blessed him with seven step-grandchildren. Adolph had many nieces and nephews, all of which he loved. He was able to build a strong connection with some, especially Pooh and Daks. He leaves behind a legacy of love and togetherness that will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves to remember him, his wife Nita Patterson, they were reaching 21 years of marriage; one daughter, Courtney (Omar) Jones; step-children, DonQuaya, NiDerris, Quinya and Jiminiya; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Brenda Patterson; two brothers, Mark (Sharon) Patterson and Parrish Patterson; mother-in-law, Grace Isaac; brother-in-law, Donald Patrick. Mr. Adolph Patterson was preceded in death by two sons, DeMont and Courtney Lee; his parents, Adolph and Emma Patterson; sisters, Sheila and Loretta Patterson. The family would like to express special thanks to the Patterson family, the Patrick family and all their friends who offered encouraging words, prayers, condolences, love and support as we navigate through this trying time. Memorial service will take place at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Bishop Designate Hurley J. Coleman, Jr. will officiate.
