Ms. Africa Nicole Burks-Liles

Ms. Africa “Nikki” Nicole Burks-Liles was born on April 23, 1976 in Saginaw, Michigan to Audrey Redeemer (Leslie Jackson) and Michael Burks. She passed away on November 5, 2023 at the age of 47 years. Africa was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan, a graduate of Saginaw High School “Class of 1994” and Ross Medical Education Center as a Dental Assistant. She was employed at Morley for ten plus years and later became employed at McDonald Cadillac Dealership. She spent most of her life bowling, traveling and she loved animals. Most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchild, friends and family. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Adonis Tremayne Liles (Ambria); one grandchild, Adonis Liles, Jr., both of Columbus, OH; special friend, Luther “Pete” Pearson; parents, Audrey (Leslie Jackson) Redeemer, Michael Burks and step-father, Lester Redeemer, all of Saginaw, MI; sister, Asa Thomas, Saginaw, MI; two brothers, Barraka (Jacqueline) Baber of Southfield, MI and Wesumba Redeemer of Allen, TX; aunts, Monica Kellum (Michael Hill) and Renee Burks, both of Saginaw, MI; three uncles, Woodrow and Lance Kellum, both of Saginaw, MI and Robert (Donna) Griffin of Clinton, MI; sister-in-law, Sheila Baber of Saginaw, MI; god-father, Larry Packard of Saginaw, MI; honorary grandparents, Bertha Tellis, Dorothy Harris, both of Saginaw and Josephine Roberts of Lanett, AL; cousins, Tulani Redeemer, Aaricka Clay, Sandra (Mike) Garcia, LeKeshia Kellum, Terrance (Briana) Kellum, LaCrica (Terrance) Williams, Robert, Jr. (Vanessa) Griffin of Charlotte, NC, and Jennifer Griffin of Detroit, MI; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Renee (Gary) Meitz, Sara Raquso, TaSha Sears, Ms. Gwen, Joy McWright, Brooke (Derek) Hoyt, Emily Zanzakenburg (Peter), Tracey Westendorf, Michelle Anne, Gloria Hoag and Mary Hill. Ms. Africa “Nikki” Nicole Burk-Liles was preceded in death by her daughter, Zaiah Liles; father, Leslie Jackson; brother, Leslie “Stomp” Baber; grandparents, Era and Woodson Kellum; aunts, Catherine Carroll-Daniel, and Antonie Hunt; uncle, Marshall Kellum; cousins, Tamisha and Marquetta Carroll and her “Ride and Die Protector, Simone”. Passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the age of 47 years. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 at World Outreach Campus, 2405 Bay Rd., Saginaw, ,MI 48602. Bishop Hurley J. Coleman, Jr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601 Friends may call at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N.
