Ms. Alandya Natasha Taylor

Miss Alandya Taylor, age 58 years, departed this life on October 12, 2016. She was born June 3, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan to Slaughter and Lucinda (Jones) Taylor. Alandya accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor R.B. Austin at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Alandya sung in the Junior Choir, worked with the Junior Ushers, Young Adult Ushers and served as Church Clerk for two years. She was a member of Truevine Missionary Baptist Church where she served with the Kitchen Committee until her health prevented her from working. Miss Taylor was a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University and she strongly promoted education. She was employed with the Saginaw School District as a secretary at the Administration Building, she taught at Webber Elementary and Jessie Loomis Schools. She retired in 2008, and she also tutored children for two years. Alandya leaves to cherish her memory, her precious mother, Lucinda Taylor; uncles, Walter (Charlene) Jones, Sammie (Truthia) Jones, Charles (Nola ) Taylor, Robert Earl (Helen) Taylor; aunts, Billie Lee Jones, Sarah Jones, Louise Jones, Barbara (Gordon) Nichols; special cousins, Billy (Patricia) Jones, Noland (Karen) Heath, Korye (Kisha) Jones, Dwight (Cece) Jones, Johnny (Margret) Jones, Rev. Wayne (Annie) Jones, Melanie Jones, Chondeleea Jones, Chandra (Johnathan) Pope, Lisa Taylor, Theresa Taylor, Hosea Douglas, Clint Douglas, Warren Jones, Gregory Clark and Cassandra Adagbonjin; special babies, Quincy Hayes, Jr. Jordynn Pope and Santiago Clark, Jr.; god-children; Corey (Zekevya) Moore, Andrew Jones, Zackery Jones, Atkins Jones, Thomas Redeemer and DeMarkus McGee; god-sisters; Cheryl Moore, Joi Marie (Frank) Williams, Jasmine Betts; god-brother; Joey (Abagail) Benson; special friends; Cookie Williams, Para Redeemer, Delores Jones, a host of other dear relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Alandya was preceded in death by her father, Slaughter Taylor; brother, Obadiah Taylor; both sets of grandparents; many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family wishes to express special thanks to the MMR Crew, The Buena Vista Police Department and The Saginaw County Sheriff Department. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Truevine Baptist Church, 2930 Janes Street. Pastor Paul E. Broaddus will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
