Mrs. Amy Lovell Jones-Spiller

Mrs. Amy Lovell Jones-Spiller “Button”, a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 55 years on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Covenant Healthcare Medical Center-Cooper Saginaw with her loving husband at her side. She was born April 10, 1966 in Marke-Tree, Arkansas the daughter of Jesse James Jones and Amy Lee Jones. “Button” accepted Christ in her life at an early age. The Jones family relocated to Saginaw Michigan in 1968. She later attended Saginaw High School and became a graduate of the “Class of 1984”. Amy was adored by many who knew her. To know her was to LOVE her. Amy had a smile that was unforgettable and just down-right kind-hearted. A true sweetheart. She had a way about her that could brighten anyone’s day. Amy was truly one of a kind. She will be deeply missed by many. Amy enjoyed cooking spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her husband of 30 years. Everyone knew she didn’t play when it came to her lotto time and watching Sci-fi. She had a deep passion for music and her grandchildren who gave her a second chance at life. She took being a grandmother to heart. Lovell leaves to cherish her husband, Joe Lee Spiller; nine children, Vanessa, Denika, and Amber Hunt, Katoria, Morgan, Zechariah, Richard and Sidney Crawford and Taivion Garrett; seven grandchildren, Lawrence Wiley, Jr., Lauren Wiley, Brooklyn Blacksher, Khiryn Crawford, Kamiyah Morris, Richard Jr. and Cianna Crawford; her father, Jesse James Jones, Sr.; brothers, Kennedy (Tonya) Jones, Carlton and Willis Jones and Shavor Craft; aunties, Lorraine Willis, Helen Weems and Lexi Ann Jones; one uncle, Reginald (Phyllis) Jones; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; her special friends, Lisa Brewer, Darlene Brown and Dawn Key. Mrs. Spiller was preceded in death by her mother, Amy Lee Jones; grandparents, Sylvester and Bernic Willis, Bertha Mae Jones, Carlton Julius Jones; great-grandmother, Irma Dowd; two brothers, Jesse James Jones, Jr., Nathaniel Jones; one sister, Claritha Jones; one nephew, J’monte Byrd; one great-nephew, JaKobe Washington; special friend, Rhonda Hogg. The family would like to express thanks to Covenant Healthcare ICU Cooper for all their patience, professionalism, hardworking commitment to excellent medical care. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Pastor Herbert Morris, Jr. will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
