Mrs. Annie Mae Bridgewater

In memory of Annie Mae Bridgewater, beloved, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 25, 2021, at the age of 94 years. Born September 28, 1926 in Wylam, Alabama, the daughter of John and Ethel (Allen) Moore. She moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1942 where she went to Saginaw High School. Annie worked with the Buena Vista School system for over 34 years until she retired in 1999. Nothing brought Annie Bridgewater more joy than attending church with her fellow Parishioners, in fact she was a member of Bethel A.M.E Church for 41 years and kept in constant contact throughout the 2020 and 2021 years when services were modified due to Covid. Annie was united in marriage to Tom Bridgewater in 1947. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Dianne (Willie) Marlow; three sons, Thomas Bridgewater, Paul (Juanita) Bridgewater and Kenneth (Dorcia) Bridgewater; grandchildren, Tyrone (Rhonda) Bridgewater which she raised, Charlene McKinley, Trina McKinley, Michelle McKinley, Annie McKinley, Denise McKinley, Thomas McKinley,Tamont (Adia) Marlow, Damont (Natiska) Marlow, Khary (Jennifer) Bridgewater, Reggie (Tamikia) Lawrence, Fredrick Campbell, Shaun Thomas, Zachary Campbell, Dana (Marcus) Amick, ShaTyara Bridgewater, MarShaun Atkins, MarShay McKenzie, Tyrell Bridgewater, Tyrone Wilkins and Kenneth Scott (Zeinab) Bridgewater; a host of several great and great-great-grandchildren, nephew, Robert Lee Wilson Mrs. Bridgewater was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bridgewater; daughter, Ethel Cleaves; grandson, Anthony McKinley and sister, Katie Wilson. The family would also like to acknowledge the assistance caregivers who provided her an abundant amount of support throughout her last days, Dallas McKenzie, Chanel Dowel, Crystal Delgaldo, Enchantee Curtis, Brenda Allen, Sirmonia Donald, Ronnesha McKenzie, Kawana Jenkins, Zaquarius (Quay) Willis and Dequetta Lockhart. Annie truly appreciated Mary Bridgewater, Charliestine Dillard and June Gordon for their consistent love and support. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Dennis Laffoon will officiate. Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, 6100 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw, Michigan 48638. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
