Mr. Anthony Arnell "Amp" Sullivan

Mr. Anthony Arnell "Amp" Sullivan, our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday June 20, 2015, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 46 years old. He was born September 12, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan, to SFC Melvin Hall and Denise Steele. Anthony Arnell Sullivan was a life-long member of TrueVine Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized under the late Rev. Robert Corley, Sr. He attended Central Junior High and Saginaw High School “Class of 1986.” He loved spending time with his family and friends by playing cards, dominos, dee-jaying, writing, producing and performing rap music. Anthony’s presence will be truly missed by everyone. Mr. Anthony Sullivan leaves to cherish his memory, mother, Ms. Denise Steele; father, SFC Melvin (Carol) Hall; his one and only sister, SFC T’sha Hall of North Carolina; wife, Amanda Sullivan; stepson, Tayvin Stempek; 8 children, Anthony Arocha, Rico Arocha, Joseph Arocha, Tristan Arocha, all of Bay City, Michigan, Christopher and Raven Vanbuskirk of Shreveport, Louisiana, Ariana Sullivan of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and Keyonna Feltson of Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren; niece, Tierra Hall of North Carolina; uncles, Dion Holiday of Flint, Michigan and Rusty Neal of San Francisco, California; aunts, Sandy Neal and Robin Hemphill, 2 special cousins, Attorney Rico (Attorney Ayanna) Neal of Lansing, Michigan and Dawn (Dr. Brockford) Herring; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Michael & Anthony Patterson, Matthew “Matt” White, Curt Campbell , Abbey Smith, Jake Buzzard and his extended family on 13th street. Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willa Sullivan Neal, Burnest Balls and Sampson and Pauline Hall; uncle, D.C. Holiday and friend, Scott Johnson. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at Karmano’s Cancer Institution in Detroit, Michigan and the Oncology Staff at Bay McLaren Center. Special thanks to his cousin Artelia Harris of Chicago, Illinois who helped care for him in his final days. Funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015 at TrueVine Missionary Baptist Church 2930 Janes St., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Paul E. Broaddus will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
