Arthur Julks

Julks, Mr. Arthur James Saginaw, Michigan Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2005 at New Beginnings Life Changing Ministries, 2312 S. Washington St. Pastor Otis Dickens will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Browne's Mortuary, 441 N. Jefferson Ave. on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Arthur James Julks passed away August 7, 2005 at the age of 61 years. He was born June 6, 1944 in Farmersville, LA to Oscar and Susie Mae Julks. Arthur was employed for 20 years at Malleable Iron-GM, leaving due to disability and he was a member of UAW Local #455. His religious affiliations include serving as a member of Coleman Temple for 22 years and currently as a member of New Beginnings Life Changing Ministries under Elder Otis Dickens, where he served in the Male Chorus. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Beverly Julks; two daughters and four sons, LaToya Julks (Eugene Ware, Jr.), Keith Shipp (Mechel), Dewayne Julks (Lakeya), James Derrick Julks, Lathan Jerome Julks and Kushanda Julks, all of Flint, MI; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Diana McClain (Preston) and Louise Page (Morris) both of Houston, Tex. and Ossie Mae Hendricks (Jasper) of Louisiana; one brother, Melvin Grimes (Gloria) of Oakland, CA and many nieces and nephews, including special niece Peggy Sue Blackman, his praying partner; aunts, Christine Davis, Ola Mae Manning, both of LA and Modena (Cleveland) Wiliamson of Saginaw; an uncle, Andrew Mosley and many cousins; mother and father-in-law, Ruby Shipp and Byron (Jessie) Newson; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Clearance Newton, John Turner, Walter Turner, Bennie Batts, James Clayton, Novella Peters, Viola Perkins and Pastor Otis Dickens. Mr. Julks was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Dorothy Traylor, nephew, Dewayne Page and sister-in-law, Josephine Mays. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Staff at St. Mary's of Michigan Medical Center, Pastor Otis and Sandra Dickens and his church family at New Beginnings Life Changing Ministries.
