Mrs. Avele "April" Burton Mack

Mrs. Avele Lee (April) Burton began her journey in life on May 9, 1969. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Mable and Roger Moore. April gained her wings on Saturday, March 19, 2021 at the age of 51 years. “April” attended Saginaw High School, then attended, and achieved her diploma as a proud graduate of Ruben Daniel High School. Every job she held was as a caregiver, or as a cook which she loved the most. Her love for cooking grew so much that she hosted our family Thanksgiving dinners which emphasized her skill. Her barbeque was delicious. She was a wonderful cook. She was a proud member of Emmanuel Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Mother Carter. “April” was the glue that held her family together. She loved to gather her family to celebrate life. “April” leaves to cherish her memory, her children, one daughter, Jacqueline Lucille Burton; one son, Terrance John Burton Sr.; grandchildren, Brandon, Shamonica, Demitrius, Jr. and Terrance, Jr.; mother and step-father, Mable and Johnny Cage, Jr; two brothers, Gregory Burton and Rodney (Linda) Burton; two sisters, Kim Burton and Erica Burton; four aunts, Mary Babers, Ethel Dugan, Ester Thompkins and Gladys Hinds; uncles, John Burton, Vincent Burton and Leonard Thomas; three nieces, Ceysha (Anthony) Spencer, Cambria Burton and Hillary Burton; two nephews, Earvin (Veronica) Burton and Kody Burton all of Saginaw, MI; special cousins, Mary Ann (Roger) Babers-Essex, Roxanne, Tina and Tiara Babers (Saginaw), many other relatives and friends including best friend, Kim Ware. April was loved by many and will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Lucille Burton; aunts, Johnnie Mae Davis and Mellie Thomas; favorite uncle, Albert Burton; Brother Davis; cousin, Henry Hinds and Robert Barnett. The family wishes to thank longtime friends, Jerry, and Sherry Crawford. We also extend a sincere thank you to our relatives, other friends, Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home and the Saginaw Police Department for their kind expressions during our time of bereavement. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Pastor Faye Carter will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601.
