Dr. Bobby Ann Robinson

Dr. Bobby Ann Robinson passed away on Monday, September 7, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Dr. Bobby Ann Robinson was born February 3, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Fredrick D. and Corrine Bright Ivey Robinson. Bobby attended Early Elementary School in Saginaw, when the family moved to a farm in Burt, Michigan; she attended Foster Community School, Central Junior and Saginaw High School from which she graduated. She received the following college degrees; An Associate Degree, BA, MA, Specialist, a Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Bobby was employed by Saginaw County Hospital, Buena Vista School System, ISD, Substance Abuse, Saginaw Valley State University and until recently was the owner and operator of Robinson’s Travel Service. She lived in Burt, Michigan most of her life until 1984, when she left the family farm and moved back to Saginaw. Bobby was a Community Adviser member for Saginaw Career Center, a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and a member of Zeta Omega Zeta Chapter. Dr. Bobby Ann Robinson leaves to cherish her memory: sister, Ruby Robinson. Dr. Robinson was preceded in death by her parents, Fredrick D. and Corrine Bright Ivey Robinson and brother, Rev. Theodore Robinson, Sr. Bobby was a World Traveler and had traveled to over 35 countries and cities. She loved keeping a beautiful yard and gardening. Dr. Robinson was many things to different people; she was the little baby sister to her older brother and sister, the baby sister to many of her friends and relatives and to others she was the daughter and granddaughter. Bobby was everybody's friend and neighbor. To some, she was their sister in Christ, mentor, educator and teacher. She was their travel agent, who looked after their travel plans. Still others saw her as knowledgeable about many things. Most of all, she was a truth seeker, world traveler, a thinker in search of higher principles. Dr. Bobby Ann Robinson was a follower and soldier of Jesus Christ. Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, 1114 North 6th Avenue. Dr. Marvin T Smith will officiate.
