Carl "Bodie" Thomas

Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011 at Browne's Mortuary, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, with the funeral commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Faye Carter will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Carl Eugene Thomas, affectionately known as "Bodie", passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the age of 31 years. He was born March 1, 1980 in Saginaw, MI, the son of Darlene (Williams) Barnes and Audrey Williams. He attended Saginaw High School. Carl was a loving son, brother, father and friend. He enjoyed life and liked to socialize. He had many hobbies, including talking with children to bring forth positive role models in the community and helping to change things for the good. Carl leaves to cherish his memory, two children, Carniecia Thomas (mother, Katrevah Doster) and Sea'Airra Rowan Thomas (mother, Star); his parents, Darlene Barnes and Audrey Williams; stepfather, George Washington Barnes; sisters, Denise Williams, Angle Thomas, Domineque Williams and Staci Williams; brother, Clarence Williams; nieces, Denise Thomas, Darlena Thomas, Bre'Asijah Luna, Ronisha Howard, Ja'nisha Howard, Charlene Young, Samariah Williams and Ja'lena Williams; nephews, Eugene Long, Elijah Thomas, Bobby Johnson, Clarence Thomas, Ronald Thomas, Karon Thomas, Carl Howard, Daron Howard, Ja'Ron Howard, Ronnie Howard, Idris Young, DeMarcus Young, Bryant Manning, Necoleon Williams, Darreon Williams, Senqavion Williams, Orlando Williams, Kamarion Williams, JayMonta Williams and Tyrique Williams; many aunts and uncles, including Marie Williams, Arneater Mueller and Delphine Williams; many cousins, including Lisa Coleman, Lisa Page, Michael Williams, Derrick Wilson, Alexis Wilson, Willie Wilson and Mary Turner; godbrothers, Min.
