Mrs. Carol " Clever C" Walker

Carol Ann Walker, 59, of Saginaw, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Friday April 5, 2024. Carol Price was born in Memphis, Tennessee, at Crump Memorial, to the late Bobbie Eugene Price and Rosie Mae Price. Carol was a funny, charismatic, and a bluntly honest woman. She was a people lover and always the life of the party. She loved so hard and her presence attracted family and friends to, “The Hill,” where she resided. Carol was the “Glue,” to her family and will be missed by so many. Carol was always known and remained a fighter through the end. Her transition made us all feel strengthen, empowered, and positive in her journey to the Lord, Christ Jesus! Carol was raised under the leadership of her father, the late Superintendent Bobbie Price, Sr., of the Church of God in Christ. She loved the Lord as she would sing and praise him. Carol received her diploma from Ruben Daniels High School and later attended Delta College. Such a hard worker, she was. Carol dedicated over 26 years to the children she served as a Special Education Paraprofessional, and working in various positions throughout the Saginaw Public School System. Carol’s hobbies include traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. Carol loved to host, dance, make people laugh, was a server, and the best cook. Carol’s memories will always be cherished. She is survived by her loving children, Gerald Jarode Walker, Jr., Alnisha Catoya Jackson, and Daryl Glen Currington, Jr.; stepson, Marcus Williams, Sr.; grandchildren, Da’Veona Jackson, Gerald Walker, Jr., Amariona Smith, Gervontae Darby, Ky’Leigh Walker, Daryl Currington III, G’onni Walker, and Demetrious Robinson, Jr.; step-grandchildren, Marcus II and Jayidyn Williams; great-grandchildren, Jamir Walker, Xy,Air Williams, and Daniel Darby; siblings, Barbara Roberson, Robin and Bobby Price; aunts, Pearlie Johnson and Ernestine Martin; uncle, Leonard (Mildred) Montgomery; special cousins; Connie Dent, Tony Price, and Link Johnson; special friend of 33 years, Daryl Currington, Sr.; longtime friends, Marlo Donald and Ronnie Tate, and a host of family and friends. Carol Walker was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald Walker, Sr., parents, Superintendent Bobby, Sr. and Rosie Price; grandparents, Albert and Margaret Price, James Young and Lucille (Leonard) Montgomery; nephews Anthony Walker, Donald Patrick, Jr. and Stone Roberson, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 13, 2024 at World Outreach Campus, 2405 Bay Rd., Saginaw, MI 48602. Bishop Hurley J. Coleman, Jr., Host Pastor and Elder Amos Smith will officiate with interment in Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum, 5950 Gratiot Rd., Saginaw, MI 48638. Visitation will take place from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
