Mrs. Casaundra Denise Williams

Casaundra Denise Williams “C” was born on October 29, 1969 to James R. and the late Francine Coles in Detroit, Michigan. She made her transition on December 23, 2018 at the University of Michigan Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Casaundra was married on October 14, 2000 to Sean E. Williams. Together they shared 18 years of love and laughter. Casaundra graduated from Cass Technical High School then earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems from University of Detroit Mercy, where she was a Crain’s Scholar. She then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from The University of Michigan. Casaundra worked at Dow Corning Corporation/Dow Chemical Company where she was a valued employee that excelled in many roles from Computer Programmer to Website Project Leader to Customer Service Leadership, earning numerous awards and recognitions. She was a member of The Tri-City Links, Incorporated, Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity and many boards and committees. Casaundra was a mentor to youth in the Great Lakes Bay Youth Leadership Program, taught adult computer classes in the city of Saginaw and taught bible study as part of Bible Study Fellowship in Midland, Michigan. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and draw, loved to spend time with family and friends. She was also involved in many charities that were close to her heart, including Go Red for Women Breast Cancer Campaign, The American Cancer Society, The Saginaw Rescue Mission and literacy programs for young people. Casaundra loved to give to others and build them up. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who could always put a smile on your face. She was like sunshine when she entered a room. Left behind to cherish her memories are, her devoted husband Sean E. Williams. Father: James R. Coles Sr. Stepmother: Crystal Coles. Sisters: Kelly Coles and Howard Kincaid, Lisa Coles and Scott Slade. Brothers: James R. (Shareen) Coles Jr., John Coles and Yolanda Wilkes. Stepsisters: Tamisha (Kashman) Daniels, Melanie Moore and Williams Jones, Dana Jones and Devon Rogers Grandmother: Merle McClendon and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be truly missed by many. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, 1114 N. 6th St., Saginaw, MI 48601. Dr. Marvin T. Smith will officiate. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
