Mr. Charles "Chuckie" Tyree Morris

Mr. Charles “Chuckie” Tyree Morris was born July 14, 1959, departed this earth June 17, 2026 at the age of 66 years. His parents, Willie Ruth Morris and James L. Morris preceded him in death. Chuckie acquired a work ethic at an early age. He obtained various jobs through volunteer work and programs, building his skill set. He had several jobs during and after attending Saginaw Public Schools. He was employed at General Motors Saginaw Metal Casting Plant and a member of UAW Local #668. He worked as a Quality Testing Inspector, a Truck Driver and Forklift Operator. He was a 4-H member and a Boy Scout. He relocated to Colorado in his late twenties. His re-location turned into almost 40 years of hard work and family life. He married and started a family. After relocating to Colorado, one of his first jobs was managing and operating his own truck company. He soon decided to explore administrative management work, where he found his passion. His journey took him to non-profit organizations, where he would remain and thrive for decades. Chuckie operated, and later gained the position of Director and President of Living Word Family Rescue Mission, which supported disadvantaged families. He believed in creating strength in the community. Prior, he was a Fund raiser for: Rocky Mountain Children’s Clinic, Disabled American Veterans and Denver VET Center. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Denver, CO. Chuckie loved family, was family oriented, a protector and a provider. He was competitive and strong-willed; he was people focused and enjoyed being a public servant. He took pleasure in many activities: cooking, barbecuing, watching sports, shooting pool, table tennis, bowling, board games, playing cards and listening to jazz. He leaves to cherish memories, his wife of 35 years, Natalie May-Morris; son, Marcus Alexander (Laquan); daughters, Ashley May-Morris, Atlanta, GA and Brittney May-Morris, Dever, CO; grandchildren, Zaria and Zuri both of Atlanta, GA, Madison and Addison both of Denver, CO, Nevaeh, Chloe and Zoey all of Detroit, MI; siblings, Linda King, Boston, MA, Lou Ann Fresorger, Noland King, Shirley McClung, Stephen Morris, Saginaw, James Morris, Ozark, AL, Mary Thompson and Linda Daniels, Miami, FL; bonus sister, Donna Hughes; best friend, James Goines; special friends, Frederick Fife, Wayne Johnson, Donnell Jackson and Dwayne Jackson; a host of other relatives. Family Hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. with Memorial service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2026 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 810 Cathay St., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Blake Strozier will officiate.
