Mr. Curtis "Curt Roby" Robinson

Curtis Robinson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away leaving a legacy of strength, service and joy. He was born on August 20, 1947 in Eupora, Mississippi the son of Frank and Lelia Beatrice Robinson. Curtis was educated in Mississippi before being drafted to serve his country in the Vietnam War however he served with honor and courage. He later receives an Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1968. Curtis remained connected to his fellow veterans as a proud member of American Legion Post 312, his Vietnam group, where he shared brotherhood and continued support with those who served. After his service, he relocated to Saginaw, Michigan where he began building a life grounded in hard work, purpose and perseverance. Curtis dedicated many years of service to General Motors. While working full-time he pursued his passion for communication and music, earning his degree in broadcasting from the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in 1985. He later worked with several radio stations, including WDZZ 92.7 and power 107 and became widely known throughout Saginaw and surrounding cities as a talented disc jockey. Curtis had a special gift for bringing people together, filling every room with music, joy and unforgettable moments. On July 8, 1999, Curtis married the love of his life, Helena Robinson. Their union was filled with loved, commitment and many years of shared happiness and cherished memories. Curtis was also deeply committed to his community. For 20 years, he faithfully served as the head of the neighborhood watch, taking pride in protecting and uplifting those around him and helping make his community a safer place. Mr. Curtis Robinson leave to cherish his memory: his loving sisters, Ladorris and Loyce; brother, Frank, Jr. Curtis also leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, god-children; a host of family, other relatives and friends. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lelia Beatrice Robinson; siblings, Clevion, Earon, Eldridge, Evelyn, Clyde and Clara . Curtis will be remembered for his strength, his dedication, his love for music and the way he brough light into the lives of others. His legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him. Curtis will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Truevine Baptist Church, 2930 Janes Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Paul E. Broaddus will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Family hour will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
