Mr. Daryl Lynn Farrell

Daryl Lynn Farrell departed this life on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the gifted age of 67 years. Weighing in at two pounds and seven ounces, Daryl was not expected to survive. The second oldest of triplet sons, Daryl and his brothers, Derrick and Dana survived the odds. Daryl was born March 23, 1954, to Leola (Jackson) Wilson and Alexander Farrell Jr., in Detroit, MI. We are forever grateful that through Daryl’s life, we were able to experience God’s Grace and Mercy. Daryl loved all genres of music. He moved his feet, hands, and hummed to each beat, letting us know that he was in his happy place. Daryl loved to go riding, and was very meticulous, everything had to be in its proper place. He loved to eat, and being around the cooks, especially when it came to grilling. Daryl’s gentle spirit will be sorely missed by his mother, Leola Wilson; father and stepmother, Alex and Frances Farrell; his loving siblings, Rhonda Farrell-Butler, Susann (Tommy) Moody Jr., Linda Johnson Thomas, Derrick, Dana, Bryan (Terry) Farrell, Gregory (Lakeita) Brown, Elder Perry, DeLance (Eureka) Farrell, and Delvin (Ernestine) Williams; one grand-aunt, Bernice (Jackson) Crawford; three uncles, Rasul (Fatimah) Abdullah, LeRoy and Leslie Daggs. Daryl is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; five god-brothers, Nathaniel Liggins Jr., Rolan Witherspoon, Andre Thomas, Jonathan Winchester, and Brian Autry. Daryl will also be missed by Tammy Moritz and the staff and friends from Woodlawn Home Assisted Living. Daryl was preceded in death by his dedicated and loving stepfather, William G. Wilson Jr.; one sister, Rita Farrell Williams; grandparents, Ella (Haley) Farrell, Andrew & Laura Lee (Snell) Bowman, LeRoy Daggs; great-grandparents, Annie (Ammons) Williams, Ernest Snell and Edith Gant. Millet Learning Center, 3660 Southfield Dr., Saginaw, MI 48601, or Zion Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, 721 Johnson Street, Saginaw, MI 48607 Family hour will take place at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607 with funeral service commencing at 12:00 PM. Pastor Rodrick A. Smith will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan, 48601.
