Ms. Davannah Louise Wilson

Davannah Louise Wilson was the youngest child born to Lizzie and Robert L. Wilson on June 30, 1963. She was born in and was a native of Bay City, Michigan. She graduated from Bay City Central High School in 1981. Davannah was baptized at an early age at the Historic Second Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Willie Daniels and served faithfully for over forty years in various capacities. She was a member of the Senior Usher Board, a former director of the Youth Ushers and worked with the Youth Department. She was lovingly known as the Punch Lady and Pastor Doyle’s Coordinator. Davannah was also a regular attendee at the weekly Bible Study. A very industrious young lady, Davannah worked in custodial services for many years, first with her father and later at the Bay City Mall. Davannah’s favorite pastimes were getting together with her extended family, taking trips with her sisters and spending time with her great-niece, “her heart” Alaysia. She also enjoyed playing candy crush and a farming game on her computer. Davannah passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, November 29, 2017. Her sweet smile will be greatly missed. She leaves to cherish her memory: two sisters, Dalemarie Davis and Eunice Wilson, both of Bay City, Michigan; one brother, Robert J. (Thomasenia) Guy of Memphis, Tennessee; three nieces, Jennifer Davis of Bay City, Michigan, Lena Guy of Memphis, Tennessee and Angelene Wilson of Decatur, Illinois; two nephews, Justin (Eva) Davis of Thornton, Colorado and Robert C. Guy of Nashville, Tennessee; great-niece, Alaysia Davis of Bay City, Michigan; great-nephew, Deonte’ Guy of Dallas, Texas; godson, Dedrick Lewis of Bay City, Michigan; three aunts, Hattie Lucille (William) Qualls of Saginaw, Michigan, Mary Ann Wilson of Collierville, Tennessee and Peggy Wilson of Nashville, Tennessee; two uncles, George (Janet) Wilson of Bay City, Michigan and Isaiah Coleman of Saginaw, Michigan; god-sister, Clarissa Davis; a special friend, Stella Pearson and a host of cousins, friends and (favorite) cousins. You know who you are. Davannah was preceded in death by her parents, Lizzie and Robert L. Wilson; brother, Robert A. “Tony” Wilson and brother-in-law, William E. Davis. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Historic Second Baptist Church, 1770 Youngs Ditch Road Bay City, Michigan 48708. Pastor Seth Doyle will officiate. Interment at Floral Gardens of Bay City, Michigan. Visitation will take place at the church, Friday, December 8, 2017 from 3:00- 7:00 p.m.
