Mr. David Wayne Adams

David Wayne Adams was born April 3, 1960 in Somerville, TN to the union of John Wilson and Shirley Coe. He passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at the age of 59 years. David was a wonderful son, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a carpenter just like Jesus. He loved to build houses and was a sharp dresser. David enjoyed family and friends and loved to keep a clean car. Mr. Adams came to Saginaw, MI in 2017 to spend time with his family and reunite and make amends with his sons Cory and Tory Humphrey. David accepted Christ at an early age. He rededicated his life back to Christ on May 19, 2019 as his Lord and Savior. He was in no pain, he was a soldier. Praise our Heavenly Father, Amen. David leaves to cherish his memory and legacy, five sons, Corey (Everett) Humphrey, Saginaw, MI, Torey Humphrey, Washington, DC, David Adams, Somerville, TN, Malik Adams, Quadarius (Kanisha) Adams, Memphis, TN; three sisters, Brenda (Frank Johnson) Wilson, Wuanita (Governor Pierson), Saginaw, MI and Laquita Wilson of Tennessee; brothers, Charles (Mamie) Wilson, John (Zola Butterfield) Wilson, Saginaw, MI, Jeffery (Niecy) Davis, Clifford (Shaun) Davis, Cedric (Tandra Bryant) Davis and Calvin (Regina) Davis, all of Somerville, TN. David leaves the love of his life his soulmate for over twenty years, Alexandria (Rochel) Davis, Memphis, TN and daughter, Terrica Wilson; his grandchildren, Kahnya, Naliya, Torey Jr., Taylor, Tyrin, Layah Humphrey of Washington, DC, Ariana, Briana, Jaylin Richardson of Memphis, TN, David Adams, Jr. and Mr. Franklin Humphrey, his happy grand-dog; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends, too many to name. A special thank you and gratitude to Elnora Davis, Teresa Merriweather, Lavern Phillips, his aunt and prayer warriors, God Bless you! Ruby (Greg) Dye, Britney Dye, thank you so much for everything you did, your kindness will always be appreciated, love you all; William Garrett, Eddie Garrett, his dear and close cousins; the mothers of his children, Wurnella Humphry Wright, Rachel Henard and Brenda McMullen, you all gave him his blessings which will continue to carry on his legacy’ thank you Women of God. Thank you, Pastor and First Lady Lewis of Galilee Baptist Church and the church family, for your generosity and Dr. Willie Hill and the Mt. Nebo Church family. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, John L. Wilson and Shirley (Coe) Wilson; son, Demaro Adams; a daughter and grandparents. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at New Galilee Baptist Church, 1722 Sanford Street., Saginaw, MI 48601.Elder Luciose Lewis, Jr., Host Pastor and Rev. Govenor Pierson will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
