Mrs. Debbie Lynn Kimble-Baskin

Debbie Lynn Kimble-Baskin was born on June 25, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan to A.C. and Mable Kimble. She passed away on June 1, 2025 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper at the age of 62 years. Debbie was the “Baby Girl” of the family. Debbie was a member of the Buena Vista graduating “Class of 1980”. She was a dedicated member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served as a Greeter. She loved her church. Mrs. Kimble-Baskin was employed as a Teacher’s Assistant at Stone Elementary School. She loved the staff and the children and they loved her. There was a special place in her heart for her work family Debbie was a fun and loving person to be around; she loved to laugh. The love of her life was her husband and two children. Her hobbies included reading and taking pictures. She lived a life full of joy. She will be dearly missed by everyone that came in contact with her. Debbie leaves to cherish her many memories, her loving husband, Richard Baskin, Sr.; two children, a son, Vontrail Bonner, Atlanta, GA and daughter, Heaven Baskin, Saginaw; she will be dearly missed by three brothers, Lamar (Barbara) Kimble, Sr., Sugar Land, TX, Allen Kimble, Detroit, MI and Tony (Sharon) Kimble, Saginaw. Debbie was especially close to her two sisters, Frances (Charles) Sledge and Mary Matthews, Saginaw (the three of them did everything together); she leaves many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins; step-children, Richard Harris, Grand Rapids, Richard Baskin, Jr., Manhattan, NY and DeBanisha (Rawleigh) Matlock, Saginaw; mother-in-law, JeffAnn Barker; brothers-in-law, Tommy (VanVester) Jenkins, Bill (Felicia) Mims, Charles Mims, Benny (Latrish) Mims and Calvin (Christy) Barker; sisters-in-law, Mary Mims, Lois (Lonzo) Ivory, Dorothy Pope and Cynthia (Terrance) Brewer; other relatives and friends, including. her special friends in the work place included Joseph Wamback, Principal, Ms. Judy Whiren, Lead Teacher in her classroom, co-workers, Chrystol Bandy and Zina Davis and former co-worker, Brenda Randle. Mrs. Debbie Lynn Kimble-Baskin was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Mable Kimble; grandparents, aunts and uncles; father-in-law, Tommy Jenkins, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Robert and Anthony Mims; sister-in-law, Renee Hatchett. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Tabernacle Baptist Church,810 Cathay Street, Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Blake Strozier will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
