Mr. Demetrius Antwan Wicker

Mr. Demetrius Antwan Wicker, Sr. passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the age of 29 years in Bridgeport, Michigan. He was born on May 12, 1992 to Nataska Ashworth-White and Frederick Wicker, Sr. Demetrius was a former member of Trinty Lutheran Church where he attended regularly with his great-grandmother, Marilyn B. Moore who raised him and at an early age taught him, that God loved him. Demetrius loved to dress nicely, hang out with his boys, and his brother Frederick Sutton. Demetrius loved to eat pinned up tacos, a tradition that was started in our family by his grandma, Leatrice Wicker who loved him dearly. He will be truly missed by all of us that loved him. He leaves to cherish precious memories, his wife, Janice Harris Wicker; his parents, Nataska Ashworth-White (Darrell White) and Frederick Wicker, Sr. (Keesa Wicker); six children, Ny’Asia Forte, De’Myia Sykes, Paris Pruitt, Demetrius Antwan Wicker, Jr., Serenity Pruitt and Zy’Nialah Green; siblings, Damon Ross, Arshaneka (Donald Fountian) Frederick Sutton, Marcedies Wicker, Sandy Sutton, Uinqua Wicker, Mariah Tyus, Kassidi Lewis, Fredrico, Jaeden, Jaylen and Pamela Wicker. He also leaves to cherish his memory: many nieces, nephews and his special friend, James Doss “JD”; Demetrius has many cousins who grew up together in the same household with him, including two special cousins, Santana Wicker and Thommesha Wicker who were raised like sisters with him; uncles, Thomas “Peter Rabbit” Wicker, Greg Wicker, Sr., Cole Wicker, Sr. (Regina) and Jermaine Wicker (Tammy) and Antoine Ashworth, Sr.; aunts, Florence Ashworth (Mickey) and Cometra Hall, Chicago, IL; many more family and friends that loved him. Demetrius Wicker was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Marilyn B. Moore and Leatrice Wicker and his sister, Angelica White. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Greater Impact International Ministries, 2421 Sheridan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Pastor Angela D. Parkes will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
