Ms. Denise "Niecy" Patrick

Ms. Denise (Lindsey) Patrick our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, made her transition from earthly labor to Heavenly Reward on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Ms. Denise Patrick was born July 21, 1957 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Willie Smith and Bertha (Lindsey) Johnson. Denise was a member of Daniels Den Ministries. She loved the Lord and her church family. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School and was employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Denise loved to go get her nails and eye lashes done. She enjoyed and really loved her family. To know “Niecy” was to love and accept her. Her heart was big and she showed it with her actions. You definitely could look forward to a call on your birthday, even a card, or for holidays, she was your wake-up call. Ms. Denise Patrick leaves to treasure her many memories, two children, Deon Lindsey and Tina (Roland) Watley both of Saginaw, MI; 14 grandchildren, Eddie Gregory, Atlanta, GA, LaRon (Brittanni) Gregory, Octavia (Westley) Pulliam, Brian Lindsey and Matthew (Machelle) Wildford all of Grand Rapids, MI, Jatavia Lindsey, Katy, TX, Kevionna Ladd, Reese, MI, Jeremiah Lindsey, Robert Trevino, Leontae Caldwell, Deon Lindsey, Jr. and Chandra Caldwell, all of Saginaw, MI, Asia Sutton, Detroit, MI, Aiden Lindsey, Saginaw, MI; a host of 19 great-grandchildren including special great-grand-child, Jimere Gregory (whom she raised); sisters, Karolyn Hibler, Sherrie Hibler both of Saginaw, MI; brothers, Linnon Hibler, Bay City, MI, Frank Jackson, Ricky Hibler and Terry (Janice) Hibler all of Saginaw, MI; one uncle, James Lindsey, Denver, CO; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Marlett Barnes who was like a sister, Beatrice Shorter, Viola Jean (Ronald) Schwartz, Joyce, Ashley Goik, Bay City, MI, Keisha Lindsey, Saginaw, MI and Brenda (Lonnie) White. Ms. Denise Patrick was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Johnson and Willie Smith; brother, Robert Lindsey; aunts, Ella Mae Bradshaw, Pearlie B. Beamon and Ruby Cain; uncles, Charlie Lindsey, Velma Lindsey, Roosevelt Jr., Clarence Smith; grandparents, Roosevelt and Annie Lindsey, Sr.; special friend, James George; sister, Sandra Smith; step-fathers, Lenard Hibler and J.W. Johnson. The family extends special thanks to Covenant Medical Center Cooper. A special thanks to Meagan and to everyone for being there in our time of need. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Taurus Simpson will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
