Mr. Desmond Lamar Kelley

Mr. Desmond Lamar Kelley was born June 23,1972 here in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Thelma and Bobby Kelley Sr. He passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the age of 53 years. He was a member of Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church, and was employed at Covenant HealthCare. He was a compassionate, positive, outgoing, kind, happy and hardworking man. He was there for everyone. Desmond was a devoted son, fiancé, baby brother, father, and “Papa”. He loved spending time with his family, watching sports with his number 1, number 2, and number 3 (his brothers), his close cousins and friends, but his number one thing he loved, was spending time with his “Papa Pudding Pop”. Desmond was engaged to Tiffany Ronan. Desmond leaves to cherish many memories, one daughter, Keyia DeGroat-Kelley; one granddaughter, Kaisley Jones; his parents, Thelma and Bobby Kelley Sr.; brothers, Bobby (Sandy) Kelley, Terry Kelley (Denise Bryson) and Dion Kelley (Tracie Paige); loving fiancée, Tiffany Ronan; aunts, Lottie Bond, Dorothy Haire, Nancy, Debra and Shirley Kelley; uncles, Oscar Moten; eight nieces; eleven nephews, Bobby Kelley III, DeAngelo, DeMonta and Crystal Kelley, Tyreece Maner, Britney Kelley, Terry Moncado, Terrance Kellum, Keisha Kellum, Keneisha Kelley, Terrance and Torrion Wright, Sinterria, Troy, Zarkisa and Chardonnay Kelley, Marcus and Marcello Roberts and Dion Hayes. He loved all of his cousins, but his favorite ones were, Niecy, Curtis and Eugene Moten, Eva Haire and Renee Curry; mother and father-in-law, William and Penny Ronan; including close friends, Eric Floyd, Jamie Stoner, Ramona Brookins-Rice, Dymarkco Stinson, and Tone Laster. Mr. Desmond Lamar Kelley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernestine and Eugene Moten, Sr., Bernice (Vitel) and Joe Kelley; uncles, Ernest Moten, Sr., John Moten, Eugene Moten, Jr.; aunts, Florida B. McGown, Katie L. Moten; cousins, Garland Moten, Eugene Moten III and Chaka Euell; close friends, Arnold and Telly Brookins and Darell Wallace. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 120 N. 15th St., Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Pastor Vincent McMillon will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
