Mrs. Dolores Boose

Inell Parker and Willie Thompson brought a beautiful girl into the world on December 2, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan. She passed away at the age of 71 years. From a young age, she exhibited a spirit of strength and a, “Tell it like it is” personality, which would define her throughout her life. Dolores graduated from Saginaw High School in 1971, she then started her 25-year journey working at Delphi GM and was also a member of Local 699. Throughout those years, she eventually married and had two beautiful children. She taught them the values of being resilient, independent and always being proud of themselves no matter what. When Dolores was around, you couldn’t help but enjoy your time spent surrounded by her infectious laugh. She enjoyed cooking for her family, playing spades, dominos and Bingo. Dolores was an active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church Saginaw, where she found a second home. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she devoted her time to various church activities. She was also a passionate member of Bethel A.M.E.’s Flag Ministry, “The Waves of Praise. She was a past member of the Bowman Gospel Choir where she shared her gift of music. On Tuesday morning, October 8, 2024 while at MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw (St. Mary’s), while holding her daughter’s hand and listening to her favorite song, “Precious Lord’, Dolores peacefully entered her eternal home. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Lewis Boose; children, Robert (Deetra) Robinson and Lalani (Bennie) Choice; step-children, Tracy (Quincy) Ellis and Shawntella Haynes; grandchildren, Katoya (Bobby) Lewis, Jessica (Nick) Gavord, Diamond Sallay, Destiny Robinson, Qaniesha (Broderrick) Bruner, Brittany, Paige and Robert Robinson III; great-grandchildren, Olivia Martinez, Braylen Lewis, Paris Robinson, Paitan Saxton, Charlotte Gavord, Aidan and Audree Bruner, Lamilo, Carmelo, Malayah and Lamiyah Morris, and Tristan Lewis; brother, Jonnie (Sarah) Thompson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin, Ray Stokes; many other relatives and a special acknowledgement to her best friend Emmie Powell and special friends, her crew, The Birthday Girls “AKA” The Golden Girls; Robin Hurt, Betty Jackson, Ruby Davis, Gwen Bently, Linda Whitfield and Claudia Abner. Mrs. Dolores Boose was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Thompson and Inell Parker; brothers, Vany Lane, Jr. and Hurley (Mildred) McElroy; sister, Sarah Nell (Henderson) Jones and Josia Lee White-Stokes; a niece, Vanessa Gamble. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. rev. Thelma Williams will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
