Ms. Dora Marie Cooper

Ms. Dora Marie Cooper was born on September 19, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Charley Choyce and Catherine Rouster. She passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020 at the age of 69 years. She had a special love for her grandchildren. “My mom loved to cook for her family. She was the best cook.” She enjoyed feeding people, and family gatherings with family and friends. Dora really loved shopping with her sisters. To cherish her memory, she leaves two sons, Fredrick Cooper and Reginald Cooper, Jr. (Felicia); two daughters, Yolanda Cooper and Kathleen Batts (Dwayne); grandchildren, Detrick, Legend and Justina Cooper, Latricia Miller, Reginald, Jr., Alivia and Demondtre Cooper (Nikki), Lavarion and LeAntwan Hill, William Cooper, Shaniya Collins and Ja’Kobe Cooper; great-grandchild; Demoni Cooper; sisters, Gail Choyce and Charline Starks; brothers, Marvin, Reginald and Byran Choyce (Cynthia) and Kenneth Choyce (Angie); nephews, Jermaine Askew, Derrick Choyce, Damont Rouster and Antwoine Brown; nieces, Johnnie Mae, Nowell bonds (Clinton) and Sandra Jackson and a host of other nieces and nephews; special friends Cathy Rouster and the Diggs family. Ms. Cooper was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Rouster; father, Charley Choyce; a son, William Cooper; a grandson Demetri Batts; sisters, Ethel Urleen Choyce and Ruby Choyce; brother, Lawrance Choyce; niece, Tangela Nowell; close friends, Rosie Diggs and Lisa Rucker. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2020 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Herbert Morris, Jr. will officiate with interment in forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Street, Saginaw, MI 48601.
