Mrs. Dorothy Essex

Mrs. Dorothy Essex went home to be with her Heavenly Father on November 4th, 2022 at the age of 77 years. She was born April 5th, 1945 to Only Washington and Rosie Lee Gill of Greenville, Mississippi. Dorothy moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1965. She was known for her love of God and how proud she was of her children and grandchildren. Dorothy was Employed by Porter’s Beauty Salon, Red Cross and SCHD of Saginaw. She enjoyed reading her bible, cooking and old western movies. She Graduated from Delta College with an Associate’s Degree in Psychology. She was a member of Grace Valley, Formerly, known as First Assembly of God. Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, November 18, 2022, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Eddie Bragg will officiate with interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until time of service.
