Dorothy L. Myles

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and daughter went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 22, 2013 at St. Marys of Michigan at the age of 63 years with her devoted husband by her side. Dorothy Louise Wrenn was born August 9, 1949 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Alonzo and Dorothy Wrenn. Dorothy Louise graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1967. She furthered her education at Delta College. Dorothy Louise retired from General Motors Steering Gear, Delphi Plant 6 and was a member of UAW Local 699. She was an active and faithful member of New Life Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Rufus Bradley, Sr. She had a beautiful spirit with a contagious laugh. (Oh, if we could hear it now!) Her memory will be forever cherished by, her husband, Rev. George L. Myles; her parents, Alonzo and Dorothy Wrenn; daughter, Cojunna (Frank) Sutton of Pontiac, MI; stepson, Ladell Lenior; niece, LaRhonda Myles; three grandchildren, Mya and Frank Sutton, Jr. and Ladell Lenior, Jr.; one brother, Alonzo (Diane) Wrenn; her brothers-in-law, Huere Myles, Jr. and Luther Myles; her sisters-in-law, Cynthia (Michael) Chaffer, Tracy Myles and Tanya (Terry) Wilson; and three special aunts, Angie Harris, Charlene Bond and Geraldine Bond. She was the aunt of many nieces and nephews and had numerous cousins and friends, including special friends, Mother Curley Harrison, Celeste Simmons, Annie Mae Strothers, Geraldine Thorne, Tantiler Lampkin, Shirley York, Donella Morris and her New Life Ministries church family. Dorothy Louise was preceded in death by one son, Willie Edward Ware, Jr.; and her grandmother, Eunice Olivia Wrenn; and her mother-in-law, Barbara Ann Myles. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Gary Brooks, the 5 North nursing staff of St. Mary's of Michigan, Pastor Rufus and Sis. Relinda Bradley and the New Life Ministries church family. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2013 at New Life Ministries Baptist Church, 1401 Janes Street. Pastor Rufus Bradley, Sr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue on Sunday from 12:00 until 6:00 p.m. where the family will be present to greet friends at 4:00 p.m.
