Mrs. Earnestine Goodman

Earnestine Goodman was born April 20, 1945 in Montgomery, Alabama. She passed away on March 15, 2021 at the age of 75 years. Mrs. Goodman was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan and a member of Faith Harvest Church where she often volunteered. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School and enjoyed going to church. Her hobbies included shopping, traveling and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Her other interests were watching T.V., listening to music and volunteering at her church. Her characteristics of being strong willed, charismatic, caring, forgiving, sincere, faithful, spiritual, ambitious and bold made her unique. She leaves to cherish her memory, two children that she raised as her own, Tiana (Jake) Goodman-Williams and Bennie Goodman III, both of Saginaw, MI, Bennie Goodman, J.R., Flint, MI, Tracy Harris of Saginaw; god-sons, Corey Richardson, New Orleans, LA and Jawaun Calhoun (JR) of Saginaw. Earnestine has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Jaden, Jamya, Jordan and Madison Goodman and Jake Williams III, all of Saginaw; sisters, Lutha May Studivent, Sue Macon, both of Saginaw, Dwenda “Gwen” Goodman, Fort Wayne, IN and Marilyn Goodman, Saginaw; brothers, George (Clara) Wimbly, Arkansas and Albert Williams of Saginaw; many nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, many other relatives and friends including special nieces, Brenda Goodman, Blytheville, AR, Latasha Goodman, Jonesboro, AR, Shanell Calhoun and Latoya Young both of Fort Wayne, IN as well as Shatara Thomas Smithers, Saginaw. Earnestine was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Goodman, Sr.; her parents, Helen and Dave Bonner; a sister, Helen Ruth Bonner; father-in-law, Rev. Johnnie Goodman; mother-in-law, Annie Mae Goodman; sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Williams and a brother, Frank Bonner. The family would like to express special thanks to the Faith Harvest Church family. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Faith Harvest Church, 1734 North Mason Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Bishop Ronald Chipp will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum, 5950 Gratiot Rd, Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Visitation will take place from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607.
