Mr. Eldred "Al" Washington

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 62 years. Eldred was born on July 2, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late George and Artie Mae Washington. Eldred “Al” was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and was formerly employed at Westchester Village. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Eldred had a love for cars and sports. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife and soul mate, Lois Hamilton Washington. With this union they were blessed with two children, Dominque (Tra’Nisha) Washington of Southfield, MI and Denzel Washington of Saginaw, MI; Eldred was blessed and survived by one daughter, Passion Templeton of Grand Rapids, MI and one son, Eldred (Nicole) Sykes of Saginaw, MI; 14 beautiful grandchildren, Dominique Washington, Jr. of Southfield MI, Kamariaee, Kailynn, and Jazzlyn Washington, Eldrianna Sykes, Saginaw, Taniya Washington, Shreveport, LA, Ryen Roberson, Jr., Ariya, Brayden, Chaz and Conner Roberson, Detroit, Kaileb Williams and Madison Tempelton, Grand Rapids, MI and Christian Wiliams of Fort Hood, TX; his loving mother-in-law, Betty Hamilton whom he cared for dearly; one brother, Donald Washington, Flint, MI; two sisters, Jacqueline Washington, Saginaw and Loretta Bailey (Michael Sanservino) Marshall, MI; two sisters-in-law, Robbie (Terry) Harris, Lansing, MI and Gwen (Joe) Wortham, Jackson, MS; three brothers-in-law, Spencer (Evelyn) Hamilton, Perry (LaToya) Hamilton and Jeffery (LaShonda) Hamilton, all of Saginaw; a host of nieces, nephews and very special nieces, LaDosha Artrice and Sheena Cross, Zelmay, Della, Taylor and Cresha; special nephews, T.J., Cyrus, Kendrick, Kirk and William; goddaughter, Ta’Nasia O’Daniels; auntie, Lois Faniel; cousin, Alonzo Johnson; special family friend, M.C. Baskin, other relatives and friends. Eldred was preceded in death by his parents, George and Artie Mae Washington; three sons, Jerry Hamilton, Ryen Roberson and Devon Jumper; granddaughter, Riley Roberson; one sister, Gwendolyn Huell; three brothers, Kirkland Washington, William Payne and George Washington, Jr.; two nephews, Lawrence and Joseph Huell; cousins, Anthony and Greg McClain and father-in-law, Robert Hamilton. Funeral service will take pace at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Pastor Blake Strozier, officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until time of service.
