Mr. Elliott Napier

Mr. Elliott O. Napier (AKA) “Sonny Boy” and “Snoop”, departed this earthly life on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the age of 74 years. He was born in Lima, Ohio on September 29, 1947 to John and Aree (Martin) Napier. Elliott was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He accepted Christ at a young age. Elliott was married to Linda Williams in 1994 and he was known as a very quiet man. He worked at General Motors and retired after 38 loyal years of service from Saginaw Chevy Manufacturing Plant and was a member of UAW Local #467. He loved to go to the horse track, playing the lottery. One thing about him he could remember them numbers. He was very quiet, but very funny if he felt comfortable talking around you, also he loved just sitting on the porch not saying a word but watching everything that’s going on. Definitely the definition of a real stand-up guy. He was there when you needed him no matter what. Mr. Napier leaves to cherish many memories, his loving wife Linda Napier; sons, Derrick (Chereka Strother) and Eric (Janaya), DeMario (Kasey) Napier, Cameron Napier, Andre (Precious) Williams and daughter, Arnise Williams, all of Saginaw, MI; grandchildren, Kinisha Madison, Kevion Williams, Curtis and Devonte Madison, Essence, Derrick, Jr., Eric, Jr. Napier, Dominique Williams, Jayden, Amyahia, Taelynn and Amarionna Napier and Arnesha Williams; a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Bobbie Skipworth, Lima, OH; four brothers, Al (Gloria) Napier, Saginaw, MI, Dwain and Glen Napier, Columbus, OH and Victor (Bonnie) Napier, Duluth, GA; mother-in-law, Margree Aldridge, Saginaw, MI; brothers-in-law, Larry Wilson and James (Sharon) Hulett; sisters-in-law, Sandra Walker, Valerie Williams, Sandra and Janice Hulett, all of Saginaw; two special nieces, Monica Napier-Walker, Lima, OH and Chantel Napier-Pittman, Frisco, TX; a host of other nieces and nephews; one god-son, Cortez Davis, a host other relatives including his Detroit family and friends including special friends, Otis Jones, Gene Whitney, Jimmy White, Robert Thomas, Bill and John Coon. Mr. Elloitt Napier was preceded in death by his parents, John and Aree Napier; sister, Frances Napier; sister-in-law, Annie Napier and brother-in-law, Edward Hulett. The family extends special thanks to the 6th floor Covenant Medical Center-Harrison staff and chemo radiation team. Thanks for all the prayers, phone calls, cards and the love. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Gideon Christ Community Church, 915 Federal Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Chet Atkins, Host Pastor and Pastor Terry D. Randolph will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
