Mr. Ernest Lee

Ernest Lee was born on August 26, 1947 in Greenville, Mississippi the son of George and Josie Mae Lee. He passed away on March 7, 2021 at the age of 73 years. He lived in Saginaw, Michigan for many years, he was baptized, and was a proud high school graduate. Mr. Lee worked for Grey Iron Plant, General Motors Corporation and retired with 32 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 668. He enjoyed going to casinos, playing poker, movies and listening to music. He loved his family, working in his yard, and pretty cars. He leaves to cherish his memory loving wife, Dawne Darlene Lee, Saginaw, MI; children, Jerome Cooper, Texas, Marvin and Melvin Lee, Colorado, Jawon Lee and Passion Fields, both of Saginaw; 14 grandchildren, Iesha, Delano, Chris, Tre, Dazia, Whitney, Peyton, Jaylyn, Marreon, Makaylyn, Omarrion, Alivia, London and Celastino who he raised; many great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Haulcy, Rosemary (Ezekiel) Little and Debroah (Charles) Metcalfe; brothers, Osker (Tinincia) Lee and Alvin Lee; step-mother, Evelyn Lee; step-sisters, Marilyn Brown and Sylvia Davis; father-in-law, Birtrell Fields; aunts, Eddie Mae Dickerson and Doris Ann West; uncles, Robert and John Lee; sisters-in-law, Gloria Lee and Celeste Battle; brothers-in-law, Harry Fields, Saginaw, Lamonte Fields, California and Clyde Battle, Flint and too many others to name; special cousin, Minnie Chamberlain; a host of nieces, nephews, other cousins and friends, including special friends, Russell Terrell, Charlie and Albert Baston. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Josie Mae Lee; sister, Joysie Mae Lee; brothers, Rickey Allen Lee and George Lee, Jr.; mother-in-law, Marie Fields; aunts, Ethel Lee Bibbs and Mattie Lee Davis; brothers-in-law, Allen Haulcy and Birtrell Fields, Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Osama and the Davita Dialysis family, Covenant Medical Center-Cooper and Harrison, Dr. Craig Tatum and the New Life Church family. Visitation will take place from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. A private funeral will be held. Pastor Craig Tatum will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601
