Mr. Eual Holman

Mr. Eual Caldwell Holman was born March 3, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan the beloved son of Garver and Canary Holman. He passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the age of 65 years. On March 9, 1977 he embraced the joy of fatherhood, welcoming LaValle Holman into his heart. In that very year, he embarked on a courageous journey by joining the U.S. Marine Corps demonstrating his commitment to serving his country. During his time in the Marines, Eual faced the ultimate test of survival when he emerged as one of 13 survivors of a harrowing helicopter crash in the Philippines. His resilience and bravery were evident and his fellow Marines held him in high regard for his unwavering spirit. In his young adulthood years, Mr. Holman dedicated himself to family and community. He worked alongside his father to build a home in Eupora, Mississippi leaving behind a lasting legacy of hard work and dedication. On December 14, 2021 he and the love of his life, Renail Gordon sealed their bond in matrimony. Together, they brightened the lives of all who knew them. During this time Mr. Holman embraced fatherhood once more welcoming Carl Gordon into his loving family where he continued to nurture and guide those entrusted to his care. Eual is survived by his loving wife, Renail Gordon Holman; two sons, LaValle (Josie) Holman and Carl (Jamecia) Gordon; three siblings, Shirley Thomas, Mary Holman and Edward Holman; brothers-in-law, Felton (Minnie) Jackson, Lee Wallace, Carl, David and James Gordon; sisters-in-law, Betty Haywood and Diane Tyler; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mr. Eual C. Holman was preceded in death by his parents, Garver and Canary Holman; brother, Larry Holman, brothers-in-law, Fred, Thomas, Larry, Joe Milton, Charles and Kim Gordon; four sisters-in-law, Gloria Holman, Sandra Holliday, Roberta Hairson and JoAnne Ezell; one nephew, Pervis Jackson; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon. The family would like to thank the staff at Covenant HealthCare and Henry Ford Hospitals for taking care of our beloved son, father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Mr. Eual Caldwell Holman. To those fortunate enough to know him, Mr. Eual Holman will forever be remembered for his courage, determination and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience and love that will be cherished for generations to come. Funeral service 11:00 AM Friday, October 6, 2023, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Pastor Johnie Edwards will officiate. Interment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Road., Holly, Michigan 48442. Visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
