Deacon Everett "Albert T." Thomas

Mr. Everett Laval “Albert T” Thomas waws born November 25, 1952 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Isaac and Martha Thomas. He passed away on November 7, 2020 at the age of 67 years. Everett was a resident of Saginaw and was affiliated with Freedom Full Gospel Baptist Church. He attended Overfelt High School in San Jose, California and was employed by Golden State Construction. He was a Certified Master Carpenter. Deacon Thonas loved serving the Lord and his church. He was known as a gospel singer, being a servant to others, a father to the fatherless and a mentor. Whatever the family was doing he was always there to support. “Albert T” loved the NFL team the San Francisco 49ers, enjoyed playing the congas, shooting pool, playing video games with his family and could fix anything, or at least try. He had a smile that would light up a room. To cherish his memory Everett leaves his loving wife, Betty Ruth Thomas; children, Everett Lavel Thomas II and Melvarina McCowan; stepchildren, Cynthia Watley and Roland Lawrence Watley II; grandchildren, Deja Thomas Everett L. Thomas III, Kaneisha S. Williams, Donald R. Barrett, Jr., Manisha and Montreall Hawkins, Brittany, Steven and Crystal Watley; great-grandchildren, Evans Brielle, Roldona, Kloe, Ronald Forte, Jr and Omarion Forte; his mother, Martha Thomas; grandparents, Russell Thomas, Julia Thomas, Ms. Jessie Lowe and Joe E. Hendrix; step-mother, Junnita Thomas; sister, Ardella and Patricia Thomas, and Barbara Parker; brothers ,Keith and Kermit Thomas; special nieces, Athena Fox and Serena Thomas; special nephews, Michael and Lafayette Gunn, Lamarr Waters, De’Shun Downes, De’Niel Phipps, Calvin Claridy, Jr., Isaac Thomas III and Jessie Thomas along with other nieces and nephews; special cousins, the Thomas and Longuemire families; sisters-in-law, Paulette and Jerry Thomas, Mary Dickerson, Gwen Dilworh and Shirley Walker; brothers-in-law, Ray Parker, Harold (Gwen) Deshazier and James (Gearldine) Deshazier; many other relatives and special friends, Pastor Eddie L. Bragg, Cleveland Dupre, Deacon Shivonny (Tuna) Williams and Jurdean Dunn. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by a son, Lamares Thomas; father, Isaac Thomas; brothers, Isaac , Calvin and Steven Thomas; aunts, Roxie Booth and Hilee Clay; uncles, Archie and Arthur Booth and Ivan Clay; mother and father-in-law, Monroe and Climax Deshazier; brother-in-law, Harold Gunn; other relatives, Deacons Milkins, Johnny Williams and Charles Harvey. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Eddie Bragg will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2020.
