Ms. Floria "Flo" Ann Harden

Ms. Floria “Flo” Harden was born on June 19, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Frankie Harden and Raymond Wilson. Flo passed away on November 16, 2022 at the blessed age of 54 years. Ms. Harden was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She began her Christian Walk at an early age when she accepted Christ at New Fellowship Church of God In Christ, and continued her walk at Coleman Temple C.O.G.I.C. This journey led her, to her last church under the leadership of the late William D. Aldridge at New Christ Community now under the tutelage of Pastors Eugene and Joyce Seals, and Assistant Pastor Audrey Parker. Flo as we affectionately called her, was a faithful member who was devoted to the Tuesday Night Bible Study. She loved singing and traveling with the Flint Catholic Urban Ministry Interfaith Gospel Choir. Floria attended Buena Vista High School, and Ruben Daniels, she became a proud graduate of the “Class of 1990”, she then continued her education at Delta College pursuing studies in Early Child Care Development. Floria went on to work for several day care centers including Growing Years, Head Start and Prince and Princess Day Care. Flo later worked for Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth, lastly, at First Class Color Salon for the last 14 years (you know Flo kept her hair together). Flo loved children. She had a special bond with kids which is how she ended up with so many god-children. She especially loved spending time with her great-niece, Brielle. Floria loved bowling, college girls’ basketball, and let’s not forget Anita Baker. She leaves to cherish memories, her god-children, Shekinah Smiley, Akima Price, Jashon Caston, Tayden Christopher, Deon and De’Mone McKeethen and Terrell Shaw; sisters, Lenora Clark, Sharon (Jeff) Hill, Janice Harden and Desiree Sanders; god-parents, Minister Demona (Glen) Reed; aunts, Patricia Byrd, Willie Faye (Wilmer) Wesley, Barbara Ann Abrahm, Ruby Garth, Carolyn Pruitt, Pastor Joyce Seals, Prophetess Mary Jean McDonald, Prophetess Leona Glenn, Minister Demona (Glen) Reed and Pastor Audrey Parker; uncles, Lee Raymond (Regina Abraham), Donald Abraham, Minister William D. Aldridge, Jr. and Terry Pruitt; nieces, Monique (Cedric) Willis, Deidra (Bruce) Jones and Atiana Collins; great-nieces, Brielle Jones and D’Andrea Sanders; nephews, Trevail Collins and Jeffrey Hill, Jr.; Bruce Jones, Jr.; too many cousins to name including three special cousins, Gwendolyn Price, Cynthia Harmon and Inez Williams; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Kim Reynolds, Denise Cliatt, Pamela Monroe, Monique and Lesle McDonald, Evan. Olivia Williams, Tanyilca Coleman, Dena, Dana and Dawn Pruitt, Yoland Johnson and Loretta Polk. Floria Ann Harden was preceded in death by her mom, Frankie Harden; dad, Raymond Wilson; brother, Damian; grandparents, Hamp and Retha Abraham, and Joe and Flora Kelley Wilson; god-son, Jaylen Arthur Cliatt. Funeral service 11:00 AM Monday, November 28, 2022, at New Christ Community Church, 3302 Grant Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Rev. Dr. Eugene Seals will officiate with interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue. Visitation will take place on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m.
