Mr. Frank W. Moore

Frank William Moore was born to Niceie Marshall and Jessie Moore. Frank was the sixth child born out of eight children. Five boys and three girls and one adopted sister. Frank was born in Wetumpka, Alabama by a mid-wife on January 06th 1932 but Social Security celebrated February 16th 1932. I was the longest liver of my sisters and brothers except my sister Doris Ann Moore Rose Wetumpka, Alabama. The Lord called (sisters) Jessie Mae Moore, Lee Gertha Moore, Emile Lee Moore, (brothers) Robert Moore, Ruben Moore, M.C. Moore and Melvin Moore. Now that I have departed my sister Doris Ann must keep the light of the Moore family going. For l have lived a very long and good life in the 93 years God has allowed me to work all over the South of Alabama. I picked cotton, worked hard in the fields picking cotton. My very first job as a boy was working at the drug store as a delivery boy, delivering meds and groceries. In Birmingham, Alabama l worked for a company building bridges all over Alabama. In Gadson, Alabama l worked as a construction worker. My last job was in Bessemer, Alabama, where l met my dream boat, Mattie Welch. In March of 1965 l moved two Saginaw, Michigan. I worked for Kelly Homes Construction repairing homes until God blessed me with my final job Saginaw Grey Iron (G.M.) l worked in number one core room. I became a relief man. Later years l went to the experimental department, after twenty-five years it was time for me to hang up my hard hat and steel toe boots. Which l did March 1994. In between all this l meet the woman of my dreams Mattie Welch. Who helped me to change my life and way of living. I gave my life to Christ in 1985 under the leadership of Pastor R.B. Austin at TABERNACLE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH. After his death many came, many left but l remained. For the last ten years Pastor Blake D. Strozier has blessed my soul and at 93 years old l try not to miss a sermon and l am a faithful Tithe payer and member for 40 years serving at TABERNACLE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH. Even though l was not member of my wife church l attended every Sunday after my church. I help my wife with many projects at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Pastor Miles Franklin. I worked because l new serving the Lord would pay off after why. I painted, clean the church, drove the widows to and from church. I visited the hospitals, the nursing homes even to picking up the widows groceries. Went two Flint to pick up Sunday school books and every Monday took my wife to deposit the church money. I was just a servant for God. God blessed Mattie and l in our later age with a daughter. Fornntier l didn't know what God was blessing me with. He gave us a daughter to ease our burdens. I experience the love of a child that gave us so much even if we just mention it she purchase it. She even gave me and Mattie $100.00 each a month for a year. I can not tell you all what a blessing she has been to us, she added a new bath room for us .new furniture, new appliances. What more could l ask God for he new what l needed, thank you God for blessing me. My greatest love beside God is my family: My daughter took me two Sweet Home Alabama. My last three trips there was the greatest of all . God blessed me at the family reunion to see people l hadn't seen in years . When l could no longer go because of my wife illness. Samuel and Emma kids came to Saginaw, Michigan from all parts of Alabama, every year to see, me for the last four years Emma Densmore, David Jones, Doris James, Betty Kirby, Shelly Jones (deceased) Patricia Parker, Glenda Robertson, and Carolyn Hudson. David Jones and l talked each and every night sometimes Ruben Moore. We would go down memory lane. But when 10p.m. come it's time to hang up. My brother Melvin Moore boys, Chris Moore, John Frank Moore (deceased) Clay Moore from Alexander City, Alabama they would come visit me for father's day or the fourth. My brother Ruben kids from Pontiac, Michigan, showed me love by visiting. Martha Bullock, Mary (deceased) Ruben Moore. All of those visits made my love for them all stronger. And l never forget to thank God for showing favor to me for my family my daughter, nieces and nephews came from far and near that's real love. So l don't want tribute and lies to be told . My family gave and showed me the greatness love which was them Thelma Ruffin and her family took Mattie and l on trips for that l was grateful for the love they gave to me. Leola Whittington thank you and your family for caring for me and Mattie helping us over and over again. Annie and Gus children became a part of my life. They have been there for me throughout the years. On Wednesday February 19th 2925 Loretta Davis gave me my last ride . I had no idea the pain l was feeling was a heart attack. I didn't know Loretta wouldn't be taking me to anymore doctors appointments. I didn't know the woman of my dreams the woman l cherished , l didn't know the woman of my dreams the love of my life Mattie Welch Moore and l was saying good -by Honey l hated to leave you l am so sorry my darling that l want be there anymore to care for you. But God knew Mattie had he taken you first my love l could not survive without you. So Mattie please don't be sad, I no you will cry but know l am at peace because I am with my Father. Fron along with the Moors, the Davis, the Whittington's and all you friends you will be alright. Mattie there was nothing you wanted l didn't try to provide, there was nothing you needed didn't try to give you So don't Mourn for me just know l Frank William Moore loved you till death did part us. The Dash of Frank Life from January 6th or February 16th 1932 till February 19th 2025. Thank you God for 93 wonderful years: Good by knock Rocker love Frank. Family Hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 810 Cathay Street, Saginaw, MI 48601. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m.
