Frederick Jackson

Family Hour will be held at 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 810 Cathay Street. Rev. Dr. T. J. London will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Browne's Mortuary, 441 N. Jefferson Avenue. Frederick Lee Jackson passed away November 10, 2007 at the age of 50 years. He was born April 2, 1957 in Saginaw, MI to Booker T. and Rosalena Jackson. He accepted Christ in his life and was baptized. A lifelong resident of Saginaw, Fred attended Saginaw Public Schools and retired from General Motors after thirty years of employment and was a member of UAW Local #669. Fred loved family gatherings, eating watermelon, working on cars with his brothers, traveling and watching old movies. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jacqueline Jackson; two children, Frederick Jr. and Breanna Jackson; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline Dorsey; five grandchildren, Darius Trice, Jeffrey and Laila Dorsey and Von'Trayl and Samyia Jackson, all of Saginaw; siblings, Rosa Coleman, Kathryn (James) Owens, Ruby Jackson, Booker T. Jackson, Jr., James (Sarah) Jackson and Warren Jackson, all of Saginaw, Brenda (Tyrone) Sanders of Utah and Cheryl Green of Arkansas; many nieces and nephews, including a very special nephew, Ke'von and Uncle Ervin of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He also leaves many cousins including special cousins, John and Alcena Evans of St. Louis, MO; mother-in-law, Louise Lucas; father-in-law, Laymon (Margarette) Wilkins; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Wilkins and Laymon Wilkins, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Shellie Smith, Mae Burney, Mary Griffin, Evelyn (Sammie) Campbell, Pamela Chafer, Charity (Judd) Morse and Terri (Jerry) Martin of Texas; special friends, Artis Matthews, Carl Lane and Lloyd Coleman; godchildren, Quinessa Miller, Orentheus Lowery; godsister, Sandra Orum. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by both parents, Booker T. and Rosalena Jackson; grandparents, Matthew and Parilee Jackson and John and Lena Evans. The family would like to express special thanks to the entire Wilkins Family, the Mayfield Family, the McCulloh Family, the Amelia Scott Family also Chaplain Cathy, Dr. Mark Greenwell amd Staff, also the Staff of Covenant Medical Center-Harrison and Dr. Jack W.
