Mrs. Georgia Mae Haynes Robinson

On March 30, 2024 while in the comfort of her home and in the presence of her husband, daughter and niece, Vera, our beloved Georgia transitioned from her earthly home into the arms of the Lord. Georgia Mae (Haynes) Robinson was born on December 2, 1954 with her twin brother, Roosevelt in Benoit, Mississippi to Cornelius and Lucille Haynes. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Georgia grew up in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Saginaw High School in 1974. Later, she moved to Defiance, Ohio and then returned to Saginaw in 2019. She was a great homemaker who kept an immaculate home. Whenever she made the statement, “This house ain’t saying nothing”, we knew she was going to clean and change the ENTIRE house around. Whoever was with her during that time, was going to help with the arrangement process regardless if you wanted to help or not. Though feisty at times, she loved to bring laughter, play cards and go to the casino but most of all she loved her family whom she called EVERYDAY and said the words, “I love you” daily. Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Robert Robinson; one daughter, Shantella Haynes; one son, Demond Haynes; step-children, Vanessa Wooten, Robert (Deetra) Robinson Jr. and Lalani (Bennie) Choice; grandchildren, ShaJuana and T’Mesha Whitson, Abdullah Muhammad Jr. and Jaiden Haynes; step-grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Gavord, Katoya (Bobby) Lewis, Diamond Sallay, Qaniesha (Brock) Bruner, Destiny, Brittany, Paige and RJ Robinson; great-grandchildren, Ariyah and Hakeem Muhammad; step-great-grandchildren, Paris Robinson, Paiton Saxton, Olivia Martinez, Charlotte Melcher-Gavord, Aiden and Audree Bruner and the children and grandkids of Vanessa Wooten; brothers, Dave (Clydia) Perry, John, Roosevelt, Eugene and Leroy Haynes; step-sisters, Rosetta Smith and Vonnie Williams; sister-in-law, Betty Robinson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special friends, Sabrina Satchell, the Page, Darby and Morgan families, Vickie Rayle, Mary Parker, Mae Nance, Shirley Doss, Anna Ortiz-Costillo and Arthur Lee Pringle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Lucille (Perry) Haynes; grandparents, Harrison and Mammie (Smith) Haynes, Dave and Ella (Walker) Perry; sisters, Minnie Lee Haynes, Lee Ella (Haynes) Brown; brothers, Cornelius Jr., Bennie, Ray and Thomas Haynes; mother-in-law, Sally Mae Stoudemire; step-brothers, Arlee Williams, Ray Smith; brother-in-law, Olee Brown; nieces, Latoya Haynes, Tara Robinson; nephews, Montravius and Charles Haynes; great-nieces, Quentavina Williams and Jazelle Whitfield; great-grandson, Daylin Muhammad. Special thanks to Covenant Visiting Nurse Association Hospice team, our family and friends for their prayers, love and support, and the service and hospitality of the Evans & Browne’s staff. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Friday, April 12, 2024 at New Life Baptist Ministries, 1401 Janes Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Craig Tatum will officiate Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603. Visitation will take place from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
