Mrs. Gladys Inez Woodley

Mrs. Gladys Inez (Holiday) Woodley, age 84 years of Saginaw, MI passed away at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, MI on May 4, 2020. She was born November 28, 1935 to George and Ora Lee holiday in Cherokee, Alabama. She was married to Robert Lee Woodley; they were blessed with 62 years together. Gladys was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church where she served as a past stewardess. She was a very hard worker. She was owner and operator of Woodley’s Grocery on 6th and Lapeer for many years. After being bored with retirement, she worked another 10 years a Quality Cleaners on the Dixie in Saginaw, Michigan. She enjoyed fishing and hunting. She had a good shot and could compete with any man. She leaves to cherish sweet memories, her husband, Robert Woodley, Saginaw, MI; one sister, Rosalyn Goodloe, Cherokee, AL; daughter/niece, Renee Fenderson, Loraine, OH; grandchildren, Damien Neal, Loraine, OH, Ashaila (Brian) Taylor, Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren; a godson, Michael Boyd; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ora Lee Holiday; brothers, Hearl, Warnell and James Conra Holiday, and George Lee Holiday; sisters, Alma Greenhill, Betty Holiday and Doris Olivia Greenhill. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Friday,May 15, 2020 from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Pastor Dennis Laffoon will officiate with interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI 48422.
