Hazel Price

Homegoing celebration will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2007 at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 725 N. 24th St., Saginaw, MI. Pastor Robert B. Corley, Jr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Browne's Mortuary, 441 N. Jefferson Ave. on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m., where the family will be present at 7:00 p.m. for the family hour. The Lord saw fit to release our dear loved one from her tour of duty after a lengthy illness on November 24, 2007. Mrs. Price was given life on earth through her late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Brit (Theola) Lovett on January 8, 1929 in Pratt City, AL, where she attended Parker High School. She later came to Saginaw, MI, where she attended Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed for many years at Healthsource of Saginaw, formerly known as the Saginaw Community Hospital. Mrs. Price is survived by five children, Gloria Sims, Saginaw, MI, Annette Lawson, Detroit, MI, Michael (Debra) Coleman, Anthony (Sandra) Coleman, Kimberly (Lathan) Wilson, all of Saginaw, MI; 23 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lorene (Melvin) Booker, Saginaw, MI and Marjorie Conner, Shreveport, LA and one sister-in-law, Erma Dennis, Saginaw, MI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Mrs. Price was a member of Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, where she was on the Mothers' Board. For the last two years of her life, she resided at Hoyt Nursing Rehab Center where she received excellent care, she put her hands in God's hand and followed him to her eternal home. Her family comforted her around the clock during the last week of her precious life here on earth. Although she will be truly missed, her memories will live forever in our hearts. A special thanks to her dedicated grandson, Kenney Brown, Jr. for his faithful care during her time of illness, also to Pastor Robert Corley, Jr. and the Prince of Peace Church Family for all their constant prayers and support through these trying times. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the care our loved one received at Hoyt Nursing Rehab Center and Heartland Hospice Care. We will be eternally grateful for everything that was done for our mother and our family, as a whole, during these faith-testing times. Thank you all! Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Arthur Haley Henderson, Jr.; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter and a brother-in-law.
