Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Center of Attraction Outreach, 4375 South Washington Road. Pastors James and Leona Glenn will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Browne's Mortuary, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8::00 p.m. The family will be present at 6:00p.m. for the family hour. Mr. Henry Quentin Baker, Sr. passed away Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the age of 67 years. He was born August 20, 1940 in Cherokee, AL to Willie and Armaida (Harris) Baker. Henry was an employee of General Motors, working at Grey Iron Foundry where he retired from in 1994. He was a member of Center of Attraction Outreach Church, where he served until the time of his death. He loved to fish and hunt, along with spending time with his family and friends. Henry leaves to celebrate his life, a wife of more than 40 years, Mary Alice (Pinson) Baker; five children, Marcia Thompson, Cherokee, AL, Denise Green, Saginaw, MI, Henry Quentin II (Tracey) Baker, Bay City, MI, Lisa (Frederick) Knighten, Saginaw, MI and Stacy (Joseph) Sanders, Saginaw, MI; two sisters, Jane Davis, Cherokee, AL and Lottie Johnson, Florence, AL; four brothers, Melvin Baker, Chattanooga, TN, Robert (Mary) Johnson, Muscle Shoals, Al, Homer (Janice) Johnson and Olden Lee Johnson, Florence, AL; eight grandchildren, Stephon Taylor, Killeen, TX, Quincy Taylor, Saginaw, MI, Henry Quentin Baker III, Saginaw, MI, Dallayce Knighten, Ravin Knighten, Saginaw, MI, Kira Sanders, Joseph Sanders II, Saginaw, MI and Kevin Baker, Los Angeles, CA;two great-grandchildren, Tierni Taylor, Killeen, TX and Quincy Taylor II, Saginaw, MI; two god-children, Kathy (Eddie) Watkins, Saginaw, MI and Absalom Smith, Saginaw, MI; a sister-in-law, Annie Thomas; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Charlie Tolden, James Henley, Louis Junior Harper, Al Holiday and Dexter Holiday. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Armaida Baker; a granddaughter, Layndryce Knighten; his grandmother, Cassie Harris and a brother, John Junior Johnson.
