Mr. Huere "Pete" Lee Myles, Jr.

Mr. Huere Lee “Pete” Myles, Jr. was born on May 3, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan to the parents of Huere Lee Myles, Sr. and Barbara (Parham) Myles. He passed away on May 13, 2023 at the age of 66 years. Pete was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, MI and a member of New Life Ministries. He graduated from Buena Vista High School and was employed with Waste Management for twenty years. He loved to fish, fish, fish!! He could tell you anything and everything about a fish; the best season, the best weather and when to catch the right fish. He also was a great barbecue master. He had a secret recipe when it came to his sauce, and also when it came to his ribs, if you wanted ribs everyone knew to call Huere “Pete”. He also loved the Detroit Pistons and the Detroit Lions. You could not call him when they were playing, cause you would not get an answer or, if you happened to catch him he would say, “The Pistons or The Lions is on” meaning to cut the conversation off or make it quick. Huere “Pete” had the most witty and sarcastic personality you definitely had to know him to understand him. Pete leaves to cherish many memories three children, LaTasha McMurren and Versalles Trice both of Saginaw and Huere Travis of Des Moines, IA; many grandchildren; step-mother, Nellie McCulloh, Saginaw; grandmother, Blanche Reese; sisters, Cynthia (Michael) Chaffer, Tracey Myles, Tanya (Terence) Myles-Wilson all of Saginaw; brothers, Luther Myles and Minister George Myles both of Saginaw; step-sisters, Denise (Woodrow) Campbell, Vera (Alvin) Pratt, Tabatha Dede McCulloh and Tomicka McCulloh; many nieces, nephews other relatives including special nephew, Marcus Myles and special friend, GGertha Graham. Mr. Huere Lee Myles was preceded in death by his parents, Huere Lee Myles, Sr. and Barbara Myles; a sister, Sylvia Myles; brother, Jasper Lee Myles; aunts, Mae Lee Myles, Dorothy Manuel and Ruby Gaines; grandparents, Glanie and Luther Myles, Willie Blanch Williams, and Gilbert Parham; sister-in-law, Dorothy Myles; special cousin, Cassandra Wilson and a special friend, Ann Harris. The family would like to express special thanks to all the staff at Ascension St. Mary’s ICU floor and Cardinal Hospice. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Rev. Eddie L. Parker will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
