Ms. Janice "The Queen" Baldridge

With hearts filled with gratitude for a life that was lived for 70 years, Mrs. Janice Faye Baldridge departed this earth on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Janice Faye Burt was born in Saginaw, Michigan on October 5, 1954, to the late Sterling James Broaden, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Burt. Janice loved the Lord and her family. She knew the importance of financially giving to the Lord and always wanted to do the right thing. She was always a blessing to others. We will always remember her witty jokes and her salutation of “hey dollin.” Back in the day, Janice was known to match her outfits from head to toe. Janice attended Edith Baillie Elementary School, Arthur Eddy Junior High School, and Saginaw High School where she was a graduate in the class of 1972. She was employed as a nurse aide at several Home Health Care Agencies with the last being Olsten Health Care. To cherish her memory, Janice is survived by her significant other, Ralph Donald; two daughters, Morsharee A. Burt, and Lula Pearl Burt, Montgomery, AL; bonus daughter, Cheriska Coleman, Chicago, IL; one son, Terrence D. Burt, (Alicia Sandoval), Grand Rapids, MI; bonus son, Michael Coleman, Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren, De’Arius Burt, Anthony Hardman, Marlon (Ashley) Jackson, Dominique Burt, Jakelle Burt, ShaQuia Burt, Jasmine Montgomery, Breona Johnson and Gerald Surles, Jr.; bonus grandchildren, Michael Coleman, Jr., Matthew Coleman, Messiah Coleman, Donald Anderson, Jr. and Serenity Smith, all of Atlanta, GA; 15 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Barbara Williams-Sane, Gwendolyn Sims, Carolyn Hulett, Delores (Roy) Walker, Joann Broaden of Saginaw, J. Mae (Ted) Bullock, Greensboro, NC and Tangela Bradley, New Orleans, LA; two brothers, Nathan Burt, Flint, MI, and David (Debbie) Burt, Sr., Saginaw; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, lifelong friends, Tanya Brown, and Deborah Gibson; and godmother, Mrs. Hazel Roberts. Janice Faye Baldridge was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling James Broaden, Sr. and Johnnie Mae Burt; two brothers, Sterling James Broaden, Jr. and James Willis; sister-in-love, Geriann Burt; a bonus son, Ralph E. Neal; a special friend, Gwen Henry. Special thanks to Bishop Omega and the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Pastor Chris and Lady Kenyatta Pryor, Mother Ruth C. Pryor and the Victorious Believers Church family (VBM) for your condolences and prayers, calls, and messages. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
