Mr. Jessie Ervin Morris

Jessie Morris was born August 4, 1959 in Utica, Mississippi the son of Leroy, Sr. and Arrie Morris. He passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 65 years. Jessie was a resident of Waterford, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Jessie met and married the love of his life, Sandra Allen on September 21, 1991. He attended New Covenant Ministries Church, Pastor Albert Norwood and he was a longtime affiliate with New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving, caring Christian man who loved his wife and family dearly. Jessie’s hobbies included watching sports, cooking for the family, he loved his computer and fishing. He never told you what you wanted to hear, he told you what you NEEDED to hear. He leaves to cherish memories, wife, Sandra Morris, Waterford, MI; children, Matthew Morris, Toni Rae Allen (Michael), Brian Allen and Bobby Allen; grandchildren, Brandon, Jaylen, Brooklyn, Brian Jr., DeAndre, Jasmine, Anthony Jr., Tia, Jeremiah and Edward including three special grandchildren, Demarcus, Derek and Demetra; sisters, Linda Robinson and Gwen (Michael) Washington; brothers, Scott (Marilyn) Callahan, Leroy Jr. (Fran) Morris, James Morris and Clayton (Davette) Morris; special niece, Marcia Jackson-Prince and a special cousin, Anna Mae Flowers-King; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Wilma Box and Elder Ronald Stanley. Mr. Jessie Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Sr. and Arrie Morris; sister, Wanda Jackson; sons, Malcolm Morris and Anthony Allen Sr. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Eddie Jackson and the New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church family, Michael Morris, our family and friends and those that were there for us in our time of grieving. We also thank Pastor Herbert Morris Sr. and Made In His Image Church family and the staff of Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2025 at New Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3404 Sheridan, Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Eddie Jackson will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
